The 37-year-old rapper Nicki Minaj is no stranger to feuding. Besides being in the news for her record-breaking hits, and gorgeous wigs, she brings in the drama too. Nicki has come out unscathed once again as she wins the first leg of the legal battle with singer-songwriter, Tracy Chapman over copyright infringements.

Besides Nicki's ongoing dispute, here are her famous celebrity beefs that have made fiery headlines throughout the years.

10 Tracy Chapman

First and foremost, Nicki Minaj is involved in a copyright dispute with Tracy Champan over accusations of allegedly infringing her single, Baby Can I Hold You. In 2017, Nicki and artist Nasir Bin Olu recorded the track Sorry that interpolated music and lyrics from Tracy's single.

After Tracy repeatedly declined requests to give a license, Nicki Minaj dropped the song from her 2018 album, Queen. When a copy of the unreleased track was broadcast on radio station Hot 97 in August 2018 by DJ Flex, Tracy Chapman sued Nicki for copyright infringement.

On Wednesday, September 16, U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips ruled Nicki Minaj’s interpolation was protected under the doctrine of fair use. In the next leg, however, Nicki Minaj faces trouble regarding when and how DJ Flex received Sorry and whether that infringed on Tracy Chapman’s song.

9 Miley Cyrus

The long-standing beef between Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus has dragged on for quite a few years especially since the 2015 MTV Video of the Year nomination incident. When Nicki's Anaconda was dropped from the said nominations, she took to Twitter to address the music industry's underlying racism. Few days before the awards ceremony, in an interview with The New York Times, Miley Cyrus weighed in on the issue, remarking, "Nicki Minaj is not too kind."

When the actual VMAs did take place, Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus while accepting the award for Best Hip-Hop Video for Anaconda. That epic showdown led to an unending cycle of diss tracks, and mean comments.

8 Taylor Swift

The infamous Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj spat also dates to the 2015 MTV Video of the Year nominations fiasco when the former accused the latter of "pit[ting] women against each other.”

While Taylor's Bad Blood music video was nominated for Video of the Year, Nicki Minaj was annoyed because Anaconda wasn't included in the list, tweeting, “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."

Taylor Swift's assumption that Nicki took a jab at her Bad Blood music video, led her to tweet, "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.."

All was well when Nicki Minaj quickly clarified her stance and Taylor Swift apologized for the misunderstanding and misspeaking.

7 Lil’ Kim

Another headline-making feud comprising of diss tracks, insulting remarks, and accusations of identity theft.

The Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj beef dates to 2007 when Nicki released a couple of promo photos for her Playtime Is Over mixtape that looked oddly similar to Kim's 1996 Hard Core album cover.

Kim appeared to bury the hatchet in August 2018 in an interview with Real 92.3. Addressing her decade-old feud with Nicki, Kim said she was over it and wished her all the "best."

6 Mariah Carey

Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, co-judged and constantly bickered on American Idol season 12 back in 2013.

Their spat started during an audition round in when an auditioner named Summer Cunningham came into sing Lean On Me and managed to impress everyone. When Summer said she'd "tried the country thing," judges (except Nicki) took a slight offense and started questioning her.

Before walking off the set, Nicki Minaj openly accused judges Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson of picking Summer apart and didn't understand what the big deal was when they were equally guilty of making "comments about everyone in popular music all day, non-stop."

5 Remy Ma

Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma rap beef dates back to 2007 and is considered as one of the most important feuds in rap history.

The two rappers beefed mainly through diss tracks full of expletives over the fight over 'the queen of rap' title. In wake of Remy's incarceration in 2008, there was a temporary truce between them. That, of course, was until Remy's freestyle over Nicki's Truffle Butter reignited the feud again. Since then, the conflict has been simmering, time and again erupting in the form of diss tracks.

4 Cardi B

The simmering feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj burst in the form of violence at Harper's Bazaar Icons party in September 2018. A year before, the two rappers had been accused of sneakily dissing each other in their songs, shut down beef rumors, and appeared on Motorsport with Migos.

During the New York Fashion Week, a physical altercation broke out between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj with the former hurling a shoe at the latter for allegedly criticizing her mothering skills. The shoe missed the target but Cardi B was elbowed in her face, supposedly by a security guard. She left the event without shoes and a huge forehead bump.

3 Iggy Azalea

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea also happens to be one of the famous people Nicki Minaj has had beef with.

At the 2014 BET Awards, Nicki Minaj seemingly dissed Iggy in her acceptance speech saying, “What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” thereby suggesting Iggy had hired a ghostwriter. Though Nicki didn't deny throwing shade, she wrote a few words pertaining to the incident on her Twitter.

“The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!"

Iggy Azalea responded to the dama on Instagram saying she was "unbothered" and felt worn out by everyone trying to make her "have wars with people all the time."

2 Farrah Abraham

In 2016, Nicki Minaj called out the MTV series Teen Mom OG alum, Farrah Abraham on Twitter. The rapper was heavily critical of Farrah's relationship with her mother on the show and subsequently made disparaging comments, the least nasty one being, "dingbat."

Farrah Abraham wasted no time in hitting back, and in the end, tweeted she had no time for rerun watching ignorant minions.

1 Demi Lovato

In 2016, discontent brewed between Nicki Minaj and the singer Demi Lovato over the lack of an Instagram tag! It all began when Nicki posted a red carpet picture of herself alongside Demi Lovato, and their designer Jeremy Scott from that year's Met Gala.

The fact that Demi wasn't tagged but Jeremy was didn't sit well with the singer and she repaid the injury by posting a picture of Nicki Minaj giving her a side-eye on the red carpet.

"This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met.." captioned Demi. "p.s. some of y'all need to learn how to take a joke... I’m obviously laughing at the fact that 1. I look incredibly awkward and 2. That the shade being thrown in this picture actually gives me life," she added.

Oddly enough, Nicki Minaj remained silent about the whole debacle.
