Apparently, Nicki Minaj was asked to be on “Get Into It (Yuh)”, but turned the opportunity down.

The rapper explained to her Twitter followers why she decided not to do a verse on the track.

Nicki Felt She Couldn’t “Bring Anything To It”

When speaking to fans in an audio chat, one suggested that Minaj was too busy to collaborate with Doja, who recently won top R&B female artist.

Nicki set the record straight, saying she was actually supposed to be on “Get Into It(Yuh)” but that she didn’t think it was the right song for her to feature on.

"It's not that I'm too busy at all, it's just that there were, like, middle people involved in that situation so I had told her….I didn't love that song because I didn't think I could bring anything to it," Nicki explained.

She also said that she had requested a different song from Doja’s team so that Nicki could see about collaborating, but they never followed back up with her regarding it.

“I asked them to send me something else. I think that was the second song they sent me, I asked them to send me something else and they didn't send me anything else," Minaj, who is no stranger to declining to work with other artists, said.

The internet was going crazy after Nicki revealed that she was almost featured on the song.

While a few people were upset that there was no verse from the Superbass rapper, most people were focused on the fact that Nicki seemed to confirm that it’s all love between her and Doja.

For a while now, the two’s fanbases have insisted that there is tension between them, with Doja being a vocal Nicki fan but Nicki never really acknowledging her.
