When it comes to Hollywood couples, there are very few that remain amongst some of the most iconic duos in history, and one of those romances was between none other than Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. The two had first met back in 1994 and instantly hit it off. While they didn't date for quite some time, they made their first-ever public appearance as a couple in 1999. It was in that same year that Brad and Jen got engaged at a Sting concert.

It was clear that Brad and Jennifer were meant for one another, and their 2000 weeding was proof of just that. Although they appeared to be a picture-perfect couple, things took a turn, and the two split in 2005. Considering they did not sign a prenup, fans remain curious as to what their settlement looked like.

Brad & Jen Divorce Settlement

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were easily one of the biggest Hollywood couples during their time together in the early 2000s. While they may not have lasted, their impact on the culture has certainly remained intact. The duo first met back in 1994 but only seriously began dating 5 years later. Brad Pitt was a mega movie star at the time, and Jennifer Aniston was obviously playing one of the biggest characters on television, Rachel Green.

During Aniston's time on 'Friends', Pitt had made an appearance on the show during a Thanksgiving episode. Brad played the character of Will Colbert, who was a childhood friend of Ross Geller. While fans were ecstatic over the 2001 episode, the duo would soon find themselves in some rough waters. By 2004, Brad and Jennifer had officially split but didn't let the public in on their decision until January of 2005.

Many claims have pointed to Brad Pitt's involvement with Angelina Jolie in 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith', as the reason behind their divorce, however, neither Jen nor Brad have ever truly commented on what served as the catalyst to their marriage ending. While it was certainly a sad day in Hollywood, it was an even sadder day for Brad's bank account. The actor, who was worth more than Jen during their time together, would technically be required to hand over 50% of any earnings and assets acquired during their time together, as stated by California law.

While the duo did not have a prenup, it seems as if Jen wasn't interested in Brad's money. The divorce settlement was quite an amicable one and both parties walked away with money in their pockets. Aniston was granted the $29 million Beverly Hills home with minor stakes in their production company, Plan B Productions, however, Brad Pitt was named the sole owner, which wasn't too shabby considering the company was worth well over $50 million at the time. Despite the two splitting for good, it was a quick and easy agreement, especially considering children weren't involved.
