“It’s gonna be May"!

On April 30th 2018, women around the world rejoiced as their teenage fantasy boy band, NSYNC received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. All five men gathered in Los Angeles for the big reveal and the feels we had were real. Justin Timberlake, JC ChasezLance Bass, Joey Fatone,  and Chris Kirkpatrick were all dressed to the nines for their big reunion and the reveal of their well-earned star. Ellen DeGeneres and Carson Daly were among the speakers who toasted the men and allowed us to relive the fond memories that were "Bye Bye Bye", Justin’s curly hair era and the classic synchronized dance moves. Timberlake’s wife Jessica Biel was also at the event proving that their love is alive and well.

The guys then had even more fun appearing on DeGeneres’ talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, for a fun interview and a played a revealing game of "Never Have I Ever". The biggest gossip we learned? Justin Timberlake definitely hooked up with a Spice Girl. NSYNC was a huge part of the late 90s/early 2000s when pop music ruled the radio, played endlessly in our portable CD players, and penetrated our pre-teen hearts. This group wasn’t together for very long in comparison to other boy bands, but they were certainly among the most popular.

NSYNC was first formed in Florida in 1995, around the same time as The Backstreet Boys, a band of friendly rivals. Their first self-titled album was a smash hit and they subsequently released two more successful albums: No Strings Attached and Celebrity. With these albums, some publicized relationships, and successful world tours, NSYNC came out on top. Following the publicity tour after Celebrity in 2002, Justin Timberlake decided to go his own way. NSYNC announced they were taking a break for Timberlake to record and promote his own solo album. His work proved to be very successful. NSYNC amicably split and haven't recorded music together since.

They have made multiple public appearances together since and all seem to be great friends. They probably won’t reunite to record a new album (although we wish they would), but seeing all five of them together and enjoying each other was plenty for the fans.
