Over the summer, a chilling new Netflix series struck it big with viewers. Each film in the Fear Street Trilogy, based on a book series by R.L. Stine, consisted of the same actors playing different roles during different time periods. Each story is tied together creating one giant murder mystery chronicle. The cast is made up of a group of young actors who are relatively new to the business. Kiana Madeira, Emily Rudd, Elizabeth Scopel, Kevin Alves, Ted Sutherland, and Olivia Scott Welch all got their big break from this franchise. Others like Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, McCabe Slye and Gillian Jacobs kickstarted their careers prior.

5 Her Witchy First Memory

4 Olivia Scott Welch In 'The Fear Street Trilogy'

This series was based on three books from the "Fear Street Saga": 1993's The Betrayal, The Secret, and The Burning. The films are not exactly what went down in the novels but they are loosely inspired from them. R.L. Stine's bestselling book series consists of over a dozen novels with more than 80 million sold. The film had to live up to the expectation of fans and it definitely did.

The Teen Vogue article explains, "Olivia technically plays three characters: high school cheerleader Sam in 1994, early American settler Hannah Miller in 1666, plus a zombified Sam in the first and third films. Each of her characters is drawn to the ones played by Kiana Madeira; Sam and Deena are recent exes forced into a wild adventure, while Hannah and Sarah Fier face down demons together in 1666."

3 Olivia Scott Welch In 'Panic' On Amazon Prime

2 Olivia Scott Welch In 'The Blue Rose'

In August 2021, it was announced that Olivia Scott Welch was cast as the lead in the upcoming film The Blue Rose as Detective Lilly. It seems Welch cannot escape the genre of horror and she thrives in dark series. The Blue Rose is about a pair of young detectives who find themselves in a twisted reality after investigating a homicide case. Olivia recalls the moment she found her love for horror films.

She said, "It just literally is something that was always such a big part of my life. My parents are big, big movie fans and they love horror movies and they would show me everything. I remember watching them as a kid and being like, "These are so scary, but they're so fun, and they're so colorful." Deep down my first memory ever that I can recall is being at a witch museum in Salem, Massachusetts. I think something inside me is just inherently kind of spooky. It feels so homey to watch a scary movie."

1 Olivia Scott Welch's Horror Movie Tattoos

Olivia shared the many horror movie-related tattoos that she has. Welch revealed, "I have a Shining one. I have a 237 that I stick-and-poked on my own ankle. Then I've got an American Psycho one with McCabe. We became super close and bonded over American Psycho, would recreate scenes in our 1666 Pilgrim outfits from American Psycho. After we wrapped, we got American Psycho tattoos and mine says, "bone," and his says, "meat," from the crossword puzzle scene."
