Warning: Spoiler Alert For 'Only Murders In The Building'Selena Gomez fans have enjoyed watching a new side of her on Hulu’s mystery-comedy series titled Only Murders In The Building. The singer put some major acting skills on display as she portrayed the role of Mabel Mora, a 28-year-old woman who lives in an unfinished apartment in the luxurious Arconia building, that she claims to be renovating for her aunt.

After one of the residents in her New York City building gets murdered, Mabel finds herself investigating the case with her neighbors Charles and Oliver, who like her, are true crime aficionados. Charles (portrayed by Steve Martin) is a semi-retired actor from a hit 80s show, and Oliver (Martin Short) is a former Broadway director in financial trouble. Together, the trio begin recording a podcast as they investigate and attempt solving the murder.

Ahead of the show’s penultimate episode, Selena Gomez shared a “sad” behind-the-scenes photo of herself, expressing she was upset over the series being over so soon. The singer also gave her followers a major spoiler about her character Mabel’s fate!

Mabel…Is Alive!

Gomez posted a photo to Instagram, which sees her making a sad expression. The singer wore two massive winter coats over her outfit, and appears to be in one of the apartments at the Arconia.

“New episode out today. Sad @onlymurdershulu only has 1 episode left. Can’t wait to shoot season 2!” the actress wrote.

Gomez confirmed that her character would make it to season 2, which is a relief for her fans! In the earlier episodes, a scene featuring the actor kneeling next to a dead body with her clothes smeared in blood had fans distraught over her character’s fate in the show.

With Selena Gomez expressing excitement at filming the second season, fans can be rest assured Mabel Mora will return to continue her investigation and engage in whole lot of sleuthing to discover who really killed Tim Kono.

Hulu green-lit a second season a day after the show premiered on the streamer, becoming the most-watched Hulu Original comedy and its most-watched comedy across other SVOD titles ever on the platform.

Alongside Gomez, Short and Martin, actors Amy Ryan, Aaron Dominguez, Nathan Lane and Tina Fey have featured in the series.
