Celebrities spend most of their time under the spotlight, and they often have a lavish lifestyle. However, some of them also need a place to escape all this attention and just have a regular life, so it makes sense that some decide to live on a farm, even if they also have homes in cities like Los Angeles and New York.

Some A-list stars find a farm the perfect refuge from their busy lives and a great place to raise their children - in contact with nature and with a down-to-earth upbringing. Here are some of the A-lists stars who prefer to live on a farm.

10 Oprah

Oprah spends part of her fortune on real estate, and one of her properties is Seamair Farm, an equestrian estate in Montecito, Santa Barbara, California, which she paid nearly $30 million for. The property has 23-acres and a lavish house, just like the other houses in her portfolio.

Oprah often shares some glimpses of her growing her own food on the farm, and it seems like she spends a lot of time there. The communications mogul grew up on a farm in Mississippi, so it might be why she has a special relationship with this property.

9 Russell Crowe

Russel Crowe spends his time on a farm when he is in New South Wales, Australia. The Gladiator star has a 560-acre farm in his home country, and it was hit by the fires which affected the country at the end of 2019. The actor missed the Golden Globes ceremony to try to save his property and to fight against the fire.
