Actor Orlando Bloom brought nostalgia to numerous fans on Instagram with a video of him using a bow and arrow, which he was known to do rather well with in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Captioning the video with "still got it," the actor received comments from fans involving the movie and his character, Legolas.
Users brought up his character in the film, including a comment from @jamj42 saying, "Once an elf always an elf."
People have also talked about what his character did in the films: user @eldeanos_ said, "They're not taking the hobbits to Isengard on your watch."
However, some fans have also brought up missing things from Bloom's video: His famous wig, and ears! Besides his archery skills, the character was known for his long blonde hair and pointy ears, and Instagram really missed it. One user, @katysenergy, commented, "We wanna see your "Legolas Ears."
Bloom posted a photo of himself with blonde hair in 2016, fans may not have to rule out seeing him in blonde hair again. Unfortunately, the ears will likely be a no-go from now on.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of the most influential film trilogies in history; the first film was nominated for more than ten Academy Awards. The films follow the hobbit Frodo (Elijah Wood) on his journey to destroy the One Ring, leading to the destruction of the Dark Lord Sauron. Bloom's character is prince of the elves, who, like Frodo, hopes to destroy the One Ring.
Other than Bloom, notable cast members include Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee, Liv Tyler as Arwen, and Cate Blanchett as Galadriel.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was Bloom's third film. After starring in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, he went on to play the legendary Will Turner in the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films.
He later reprised his role of Legolas in 2013's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and 2014's The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. He has not since played the role of Legolas in any other film.
Bloom currently stars in Amazon Prime's Carnival Row, and will portray Prince Harry in HBO Max's upcoming sitcom, The Prince. He will also star alongside Leslie Odom Jr. and Freida Pinto in the upcoming film Needle in a Timestack, which will be released at an unknown date in 2021.
When the actor isn't on screen, he keeps an active social media presence and frequently posts photos with his children and his wife, Katy Perry.
