Oscar Isaac woke up today to a pleasant, bizarre discovery: he is trending on Twitter. A normal occurrence for a celebrity, one might say. But the reason the Star Wars star has sent shockwaves through social media is related to his latest appearance on HBO drama Scenes from a Marriage.
The English-language remake of the television series of the same name by Ingmar Bergman, Scenes from a Marriage stars Isaac and Jessica Chastain as a married couple navigating intimacy and disillusionment.
Created by Hagai Levi, the five-episode limited series gives room to Isaac and Chastain's characters Jonathan and Mira to develop and even includes some steamy sex scenes. After one of these encounters, viewers have been treated to a full-frontal nude scene of Isaac, earning him the hot topic prize of the day.
Oscar Isaac Went Full-Frontal In 'Scenes From A Marriage'
After having sex with Mira in episode four "The Illiterates" aired on October 3, Jonathan relaxes next to his partners, giving fans a glimpse of his genitals (or a prosthetics). Later on, Isaac's character enters the shower, and that's full-frontal and back nudity for you.
It isn't clear whether Isaac resorted to penile prosthetics or not, but the Internet appreciated what they saw, that's for sure. In fact, they've enjoyed it so much that Isaac trended on Twitter for that one, single scene.
One viewer stated they will never "recover from Oscar Isaac" on the show.
"No you don't understand. I'm not sure I'll ever recover from Oscar Isaac in Scenes From a Marriage tonight," one fan tweeted.

Many are praising Isaac and Chastain for their intense performances, predicting the two actors might be among the contenders for several accolades the next awards season.
