One excited Philadelphia Eagles fan ran smack into a subway pole as he was trying to make his train. The entire incident was caught on video and has gone viral over the last 12 hours.

Fans in Philly took to the streets last night to celebrate their team heading to Super Bowl LII. The Eagles destroyed the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game. One fan's excitement over the win, and his desire to make the train caused some unnecessary roughness on the train platform.

The unidentified fan can be seen running to the train, as it gets ready to depart the station. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he is obliterated by a pole on the train platform and goes down. He doesn’t make the train. The video stops as soon as he collides with the pole, as he is falling to the ground.

Although there has not been an update on the fan's condition, when watching the video it appears that the pole caught his shoulder rather than his face. Not that his shoulder wasn’t hurt, but it is better than slamming into it with his face. There is also no video footage after his fall, so hopefully, he is OK. He definitely hurt himself, but here is hoping it was nothing serious, especially since so many people are getting a chuckle out of his pain.

The train was full of fans watching the incident unfold. It was only a matter of minutes before Twitter erupted with comments, GIF’s and other videos of an Eagles fan, wearing a Brian Dawkins jersey, getting destroyed by a pole after the game. One user even posted the accident in slow motion, which is even better than the regular video.

It was not all joy and happiness in Philadelphia after the Eagles game last night. One man slamming into a pole certainly put a damper on his celebrating for the evening. However, the good news is he has two weeks to recover before his team faces the New England Patriots in the big game. Perhaps next time he will pay more attention where he is going that is one painful lesson to learn.
