Keanu Reeves tends to stay out of the headlines for the most part. And when he does make the front page, it's because of things like eating sandwiches on park benches or dating someone who's actually close to his age. But one time, Keanu was on the hook for a $750K bill from a paparazzo.

A Paparazzo Tried To Sue Keanu Reeves

Years ago, a paparazzi photographer claimed that Keanu Reeves hit him with his car. Considering the fact that Keanu has long been a beloved part of Hollywood, and kind of the most wholesome actor ever, fans were perplexed.

The stories didn't match up, though. While the photographer said Keanu hit him with his car, while leaving a hospital (Keanu was visiting someone), the actor maintained that the paparazzo tripped over his own feet.

What happened next was a court case where the photographer asked for $711,974 for "medical bills and other damages." Ultimately, though Keanu didn't have to pay a cent, though he clearly has a high enough net worth to not have $700K sting at all.

The Photographer Admitted To Lying

Did Keanu really hit a photographer with his Porsche? Who would risk such an expensive paint job, first of all? But also, does Reeves really have it in him to run someone over?

He may have a guilty pleasure that involves some expensive habits. But the answer is, even though he drives a Porsche, Keanu is a standup guy who isn't snooty in the least.

Though the photographer claimed that Keanu rammed into him with his car, the truth later came out. Sources suggest that the paparazzo admitted that the wrist injury he claimed was actually due to a childhood sports injury.

Plus, there was video evidence of him jumping down from a fence (using both his hands) that proved he had never been injured (in recent days or months) at all.

Keanu Didn't Owe The Photographer A Cent

Ultimately, the case was thrown out of court. In fact, Reeves' lawyer even said it was time for the paparazzo's time in the spotlight to come to an end. As for the photographer himself, the man didn't seem sheepish in the slightest.

As he left the courtroom, onlookers apparently asked him whether he'd ever try and photograph Keanu again. The smug photographer said he might just do that, which leads fans to wonder whether Keanu would consider a restraining order.

Who needs someone that clumsy and dishonest around their Porsche (or them at all, for that matter)?
