She's come a long way since the '90s, but Paris Hilton is still a bit of an enigma to fans (and critics). She's super-rich, crazy connected, and even has a checkered past that hasn't stopped her rise to fame.

And yet, fans have recently found that she's far more relatable than they thought. Hilton recently shared about her past abusive relationships, plus gave some behind-the-scenes info about her time on reality TV.

Still, Paris' past isn't all glamorous. In fact, Paris Hilton's mugshots tell a tale all their own.

What Was Paris Hilton Arrested For?

She's been to the big house a few times, but what was Paris Hilton really arrested for? Sources say that Paris' first arrest was for a DUI. Her license was suspended afterward, and she was pulled over a few times for driving without a valid license.

But then, Paris was arrested after officers found two illicit substances in her vehicle. One of them carried some pretty serious charges, while the other is now legalized in most states.

That arrest also included a charge for obstructing an officer, though. Still, that didn't mean Paris was blacklisted from Hollywood, or even kept 'off the streets' for long.

Did Paris Hilton Go To Jail?

Paris Hilton did spend time in jail; her total time served was 23 days. That was for drug possession and obstructing an officer, and her original sentence was for 45 days. The heiress got out early on good behavior and was then subject to probation, community service, and *gasp* a fine.

Average folks really can't relate (although, they did a little bit when Paris donned thrift store threads).

What Is It About Paris Hilton's Mugshots?

Looking at Paris Hilton's multiple mugshots, fans will notice something interesting. In a couple of them, Paris looks to be smiling. But in all of them, she doesn't really look worse for wear.

Plenty of celebs and average folks have terrible mugshots, but Paris' look better than most people's DMV photos. At the same time, the fact that she might've been under the influence for more than one of the photos probably explains why Hilton looked so happy.

Either way, her mugshots look less like prison pics and more like glamor shots. It must be nice to look that nice, even while being arrested. But it comes down to more than Paris' looks; despite her felonious past, she's never spent more than a month behind bars.

Conversely, plenty of less affluent people have spent far more time in jail for lesser charges. And that's probably the most interesting thing about Paris Hilton's mugshots; the fact that they didn't hurt her future at all.
