The Gates family has been in the headlines a lot recently because of Bill and Melinda's divorce. And though fans were somewhat shocked to hear their marriage was ending, Bill and Melinda still share three kids whose lives they'll both remain involved in.

But who are the Gates kids, and what do they do? The eldest Gates child, Jennifer, is an equestrian and is also pursuing medical school. Rory, the middle child and only son, is rumored to be attending law school.

So what about the youngest Gates child, Phoebe Adele Gates? The 18-year-old has a bright future ahead of her, but according to dad Bill, she'll have to do it all on her own.

Who Is Phoebe Adele Gates?

Phoebe Adele Gates is coming up on her 19th birthday, and though her family is globally famous (and, well, her dad's a billionaire), she's a pretty average teen. In past interviews, Bill has explained that he'll "only" leave his kids a few million each because he wants them to do find their own way in the world.

So far, for Phoebe, that probably means she's been expected to attend school, including heading off to college.

At this point, Phoebe is still close with her family, though her social media is also full of snaps with friends, too. With her sister heading toward the wedding aisle, though, what is Phoebe up to as the last Gates bird in the nest?

What Does Phoebe Adele Gates Do?

She's a teen, so right now? Phoebe Gates isn't doing much of anything -- at least, fans hope she's not!

She just graduated, so not much is known about the youngest Gates' child's career plans. But sources say she's a dedicated ballerina who has previously attended classes at Juilliard, among other performing arts schools.

For now, the teen still seems to be living at home, which is understandable, given her parents' posh digs. Of course, she may have her pick from multiple homes and vacation homes, too.

Phoebe has also gone on plenty of trips with her family, of course, and helps with charitable endeavors like her mom and dad. It's not all fun and games of course; some social media followers are pretty harsh on Phoebe for her perceived life of privilege.

All the same, she's likely experiencing all the same challenges that other teens are, with figuring out what she wants to do with her future, balancing her family life, and dealing with her parents' divorce.

Plus, she's doing it all in the spotlight, and by the looks of it, pretty gracefully!
