19 Steamy Photos Of The GOT Ladies That Make Us Forget About Season 8

For the past nine years, HBO executives have been laying out on a beach, grabbing some sun, and drinking margaritas with the little umbrellas in them because they had Game of Thrones, a massive hit that remains the network's most popular show ever.

By the eighth, and final season, fans were so excited that it was going to be very difficult for the show to actually live up to its lofty expectations. By the time it was all over, the final season was good, not great, which is disappointing because for seven years, fans had become accustomed to greatness each and every Sunday evening.

So, while we continue to get over the very disappointing final season, let's forget about it completely and just focus our energy on what is most important, the ladies of GOT.

Many people thought that Natalia Tena's big break came when she was brought on to HBO's Game of Thrones to play Osha, but it was actually a couple years earlier, when she showed up in the Harry Potter franchise as Nymphadora Tonks.

However, the one thing about Natalia Tena that is probably the most surprising is that she is a singer for the band Molotov Jukebox. She also plays the accordion, one of the toughest musical instruments known to mankind.

18 Rose Leslie (Ygritte)

After her time ended on Game of Thrones, Rose Leslie, who played fan-favorite wildling Ygritte, decided to take something with her when she left the set.

As you may or may not know by now, Rose Leslie ended up marrying her former love interest from the show, Kit Harrington, better known as Jon Snow. This made many of the show's female audience very unhappy.

17 Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei)

Since the age of three, Nathalie Emmanuel was involved in the arts. Her mother decided to allow her to start acting, singing, and dancing lessons when most toddlers were preparing for Pre-K.

By the time she was 10 years old, she was already starring in the West End production of The Lion King as a Young Nala.

16 Amrita Acharia (Irri)

The transition from being a Dothraki handmaiden to a beautiful young actress has been a tough road for Amrita Acharia. After appearing in the show's first two seasons, she has found herself struggling to take advantage of her time on GOT.

Her biggest shot came in 2017 when she was cast to be a main character on the ITV series The Good Karma Hospital.

At 6'3", Gwendoline Christie is a towering beauty that owns any room she enters. Her frame has given her a chance to play roles in both Game of Thrones and Star Wars, but it is her acting that has helped keep her around all these years.

She was most recently rewarded by earning her first ever Primetime Emmy award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

14 Sophie Turner (Sansa)

In the first season of Game of Thrones, Sansa Stark had a beautiful dire wolf named Lady who had to be put down following a tragic event involving the annoyingly awful Prince Joffrey. That moment still resides in the minds of GOT fans as one of the saddest ever.

Sophie Turner decided she wanted to keep her puppy and adopted her dire wolf from the show, whose name is Zunni. Talk about a happy ending.

13 Lena Headey (Cersei)

As one of the show's biggest celebrities, Lena Headey is actually not a fan of all the publicity and is known to be very shy. She has always spoken about her love of acting but her fear of the lifestyle. She hates being so exposed to the rest of the world but cannot stop acting.

Thankfully, she was able to push that fear aside and put together one of the best performances in the show's history.

12 Charlotte Hope (Myranda)

At 27 years old, Charlotte Hope has finally started to land big, meaningful roles thanks to her time playing Myranda on Game of Thrones.

The very talented actress has starred in movies, television shows, and on stage. But her current job is probably her biggest. She is playing Catherine of Aragon on the hit miniseries The Spanish Princess.

11 Natalie Dormer (Margaery)

The London Fencing Academy has a member that you might have heard of because she also played Queen Margaery in Game of Thrones. That's right, Natalie Dormer is a talented fencer and is a member of the academy.

She even comes from Royalty and British nobility. She is part of the Dormer Baronets of Wenge, the Earls of Carnavon, the Barons Dormer, and the Viscounts Ascott.

10 Esme Bianco (Ros)

If you ever had a question about how much talent can carry a beautiful actress than look no further than Esme Bianco. Her beauty is something that garners your attention, but her ability to perform is even stronger.

Despite being one of the least important stars on Game of Thrones, Ros ended up becoming one of the most memorable characters thanks to Esme taking advantage of every single scene she was in.

9 Oona Chaplin (Talisa)

If we only had a little more time together, than maybe we would have been happy. That might sound like song lyrics, but it is not. It is just something people say in their head when Game of Thrones writes off another one of our favorite characters, like Talisa.

Oona Chaplin was only around long enough for most of the fans to learn her name before being brutally murdered in the series most epic episode, The Red Wedding.

8 Jessica Henwick (Nymeria Sand)

When Jessica Henwick took on the role of Nymeria Sand, it was never going to be a major role in the show. Sure, it was important to the story but they could have easily hired someone with less talent and saved a few bucks.

But that is not how HBO does things and they brought Jessica in just to give her a chance to be a part of such an amazing series. It will one day be a blip on her resume because she has so many things going on today.

7 Emilia Clarke (Daenerys)

If you know who Tamzin Merchant is, then you probably already heard that she was actually cast to be Daenerys before the show's creators decided to call an audible while filming the pilot episode and bringing in Emilia Clarke.

That move should be considered one of the smartest decisions anyone on the show ever made because it was Emilia who brought Daenerys to life. She was able to turn her into a Queen after being nothing more than a depressed little princess.

6 Carice Van Houten (Melisandre)

Carice van Houten will forever be the only actress that was able to turn the priestess of the god R'hllor into one of the sexiest characters in Game of Thrones. Her ability to seduce the audience while never being afraid to show off a little nudity turned her into a big name fairly quickly.

Although she has been acting for years and has even appeared in films like Valkyrie with Tom Cruise, her stardom did not rise until that first time we met her and became instantly intrigued.

5 Lena Headey (Cersei)

Although you might not have noticed it on screen, Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn (Bronn) had a very complicated relationship in real life that caused all kinds of drama for the two of them and even for the show's producers, according to reports.

It became a long-running rumor that the two of them had such a falling out that they could not even be in the same scene together, let alone in the same room. But neither one of them ever talked about it until recently when Jerome Flynn denied the rumors and finally put an end to the speculation.

4 Sophie Turner (Sansa)

Can you name another actress that has had a bigger year in 2019 than Sophie Turner?

Not only did she star in the final season of Game of Thrones earlier this year, Sophie also got her own blockbuster superhero film, Dark Phoenix, where she got to star as Jean Grey. She also got married to her longtime boyfriend Joe Jonas just to put an exclamation point on her year.

3 Natalie Dormer (Margaery)

If you ever get a chance to met Natalie Dormer, do not try to lie to her. One of her best hidden talents is her ability to read people. She loves playing poker and that has given her a chance to learn how to know when someone is lying.

Not that any of us would ever lie to her, given the chance. But it is always good to know the inside scoop in case that day does arise.

2 Emilia Clarke (Daenerys)

via barnorama.com

As with many aspiring actresses, Emilia Clarke struggled to land her first big role. Before she was Daenerys Targaryen, she was just a girl who worked as a real estate agent, waitress, bartender, and even a call center agent.

Imagine being one of her co-workers that had no idea they were working with Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons.

1 Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei)

There are many new faces in Hollywood today because of Game of Thrones and Nathalie Emmanuel is one of them. She was a struggling actress when she got the part of Missandei.

In fact, she was working as a shop assistant in a clothing store when her agent called her about landing the role in the hit show. She turned into a star overnight and is one of the better stories you will ever hear from a future star.
