Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want their wedding guests to make donations to charities instead of giving the couple gifts.

The couple is finalizing details of their special day, which is less than six weeks away and one detail is extremely close to both of their hearts. They have a list of seven charities they have revealed that they are adamant their guests donate to, as opposed to buying them presents.

Prince Harry and his soon-to-be wife have carefully chosen each charity on the list. All of the organizations have a special meaning to the couple, including one they chose to honor his mother Princess Diana. Children's HIV Association was chosen because the couple is determined to carry on her work supporting those who have HIV.

“Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle are incredibly grateful for the goodwill shown to them since the announcement of their engagement and are keen that as many people as possible benefit from this generosity of spirit. The couple have therefore asked that anyone who might wish to mark the occasion considers making a donation to charity, rather than sending a wedding gift. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle do not have any formal relationships with the charities chosen. Many of these are small charities, and the couple are pleased to be able to amplify and shine a light on their work,” shared a spokesperson for Kensington Palace.

The full list of charities the couple would like their guests to make a donation is below.

Children's HIV Association - supports children with HIV, as well as their families.

Crisis – a national charity that helps the homeless.

Myna Mahila Foundation – empowers women in Mumbai's urban slums.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers – supports children who lost a parent in the British Armed Forces.

StreetGames – uses sports to help people in the UK become healthier and change lives.

Surfers Against Sewage – is a charity that encourages people to protect oceans, beaches, waves, and wildlife.

The Wilderness Foundation UK – uses the outdoors to help build resilience in teens, help urban youth with employment, and brings science to life.

Wow! That is quite a list of charities Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to benefit from donations by their wedding guests.
