This Google poll didn't go...smoothly.

After it named Prince William (aka Meghan Markle's brother-in-law) the 'World's Sexiest Bald Man' this weekend, people of the internet had a LOT of opinions. Now the prince's name is trending on Twitter alongside other bald hotties whom fans feel might have better deserved this particular crown.

Read on for the details of Twitter's second most controversial topic this week:

The 'World's Sexiest Bald Man' poll was commissioned by Longevita, a cosmetic surgery company that facilitates a so-called knowledge hub on all things plastic surgery. They used Google stats to find out which bald celebrity had been called "sexy" the most often in Google searches around the world.

By their measure, Prince William came out on top. As reported by The Independent, he placed first with a whopping 17.6 million hits on Google. In second is Mike Tyson, with about half that amount (8.8 million hits), followed by Jason Statham (7.4m) and Pitbull (5.4m). The Longevita poll rounded out its top five with Michael Jordan at 5.3 million hits.

As soon as news of the study broke online, opinions started rolling in. Surprising? No. Entertaining? Very. Here are some of the (many) top Tweets claiming that Jason Statham of 'Fast & Furious' franchise fame deserved top bald guy honors.

Who could list hariless heartthrobs and neglect The Tucc? Not Twitter. Despite recent friction surrounding his decision to portray LGBTQ+ characters on film while himself being a straight guy, Stanley Tucci was a firm favorite in the uproar following Prince William's ranking win.

Thousands of Twitter users are even convinced that the poll was rigged (!) against bald studs like Stanley. They say the poll's publication is a PR stunt designed to up Prince William's approval rating while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle steal the spotlight.

Honorable Mentions Include The Rock, Shemar Moore, and More

While the Longevita poll had Prince William way out in front of the pack, people across the socials seem to prefer dreamy Shemar Moore and Dwayne 'The Rock Johnson' pretty much across the board.

Who knew this would turn into the battle of the balds? In the immortal word of Katy Perry: wig.
