Rachelle Lefevre is a Canadian actress who was born on February 1, 1979, in Montreal, Quebec. Her father was an English teacher and her mother was a psychologist. Her step-father is a rabbi.

Lefevre studied theater for two summers at the Walnut Hill School and then began a degree in education and literature at McGill University. During that time, she was working as a waitress. A television producer overheard her talking to another customer about wanting to be an actress, and he got Lefevre her first audition. In between auditions, she continued to go to school, but never finished her degree.

She starred in smaller roles before locking in the role of the lead renegade vampire, Victoria, in Twilight. Big Wolf on Campus was Lefevre's first role. She played the main character Stacey Hanson for season 1. The show was a Canadian-American series that ran from 1999 to 2002. It revolved around a teenage boy named Tommy who was bitten by a werewolf on a camping trip and has him fighting supernatural entities to keep his hometown safe. Stacey was Tommy's love interest in season 1 who was captain of the cheerleading squad but left for college at the end of the season.

9 'What About Brian?'

What About Brian? was an American comedy that aired in 2006. It centered around Brian Davis, the only bachelor left in his friend group. His journey to find romance leads him down a road where the relationships of his friends are truly revealed for what they are. The show lasted for two seasons and Lefevre starred as Heather "Summer" Hillman in a few episodes.

Lefevre had a recurring role on Boston Legal. She played Dana Strickland, who was a high-priced escort prostitute who worked for Lorraine Weller and as the girlfriend of Jerry Espenson. Lefevre also had a recurring role on Swingtown, a drama series that focused on the impact of sexual and social liberation in 1970s American suburban households, set with different story arcs. She played Melinda in five episodes. Melinda was Bruce's, the main character, co-worker. The show also starred Lana Parilla, Jack Davenport, Molly Parker and others.

6 Rachelle Lefevre Appeared In 'CSI'

Lefevre is no stranger to drama and crime shows. She starred in CSI: NY and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Other crime shows Lefevre appeared in were Bones, The Closer and Law & Order. Her character, Devon Maxford, in CSI: NY was Don Flack's girlfriend, who has a man break into her apartment.

5 Rachelle Lefevre's Part In 'White House Down'

She played Melanie Cale in the 2013 action film, White House Down. Cale is John's (Channing Tatum) former wife and Emily's (Joey King) mother. Her ex-husband is a Secret Service Agent forced to take down the White House. Besides Twilight, this might be one of the biggest films Lefevre has ever starred in, even though she only had a minor role.

4 'Pawn Shop Chronicles'

Pawn Shop Chronicles, also known as Hustlers, is a 2013 crime comedy film. Reclaim is a 2014 drama-thriller film. This is a leading role for Lefevre that she shares with Ryan Phillippe. They play Shannon and Stephen Mayer, a couple who travel to Puerto Rico to adopt an orphan, Nina, (Briana Roy) and become caught up in a deadly scam after Nina has disappeared.

2 Rachelle Lefevre Appeared In 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'

Another day, another crime show. She played Nadine Lachere on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2017. She was only on the show for one episode but since the Law & Order franchise is so popular, it is worth noting. Lachere is the mother of kidnapping victim, Theo Lachere. She would throw wild, drug-filled parties while her son was in bed, so his babysitter abducted him. In the end, the home didn't seem like a good fit for her son, so she put him in the foster system.

1 'Proven Innocent'

Proven Innocent is a legal drama series that follows the employees of a wrongful conviction law firm. Lefevre played the main role of Madeline Scott, a lawyer who specialized in wrongful convictions and spent ten years in prison for a murder she didn't commit. Sadly, the show only lasted one season. She starred in the lead role of the show The Sounds in 2020, but has not acted in anything else since.
