As the third Monday in January is always a special one dedicated to celebrating Martin Luther King Jr., Americans and MLK Jr followers around the world observe a memory of a man who has made a significant mark on the world's history.
This year, considering the hostile political climate that has overtaken the world, plenty of celebrities got involved and honored MLK Jr by sharing posts of his quotes, words of reflection, and more.

Scandal actress Kerry Washington also shared several of her favorite quotations saying she could not bring herself to pick just one, along with a lengthy, touching caption about the vastness of MLK's message adding, "he challenged us to fight for true justice and equality for ALL".
