Most Hollywood breakups are high-profile and high-drama, but not every famous couple splits and makes a big deal of it, Danny DeVito and his wife Rhea Perlman being one of them!

While the two are no longer formally together, they haven't divorced, and Rhea says they never will. Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman met way back in 1971, even moving in together a mere two weeks later. They took their time getting to the altar, though, tying the knot in 1982.

And over the course of their marriage, Danny and Rhea accomplished a lot. They both starred in Matilda, shared the small screen in Taxi, and even formed a production company, Jersey Films.

Updated on May 13, 2021, by Michael Chaar: After meeting back in 1971, Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito officially tied the knot nearly a decade later. While their marriage was always praised for being so long-lasting, the couple split for good in 2018, however, have yet to divorce, and nor do they plan to! In addition to their newest single status, the two have no intentions of meeting other people and wish to focus on their kids, careers, and the friendship they have cultivated over the course of the last 50 years. Danny continues to appears in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, while Rhea has appeared in countless films since their separation, including Harley Quinn, and Funny Face.

Plus, the pair also welcomed three kids: Lucy, Gracie, and Jake. All three are in their 30s now, and though they may not be as famous as their parents, fans wonder what's happened with the talented family.

From what Gracie DeVito looks like now to what Lucy DeVito's been up to, the DeVitos are by no means fading out of Hollywood.

Still, the DeVitos' marriage didn't exactly withstand the test of time! After 40 years together, 30 of them married, the pair separated in 2012. However, NY Post noted, they briefly reconciled in 2013, however, after that, the split became permanent 5 years later.

Though neither Rhea nor Danny have alluded to any reasons for their split, apart from the typical 'growing apart' schpiel, the tabloids had something else to say on the subject in 2013. Page Six quoted a "source" who said that Danny often stepped out on Rhea with extras in his films.

The accusation was that Danny 'lured' younger actresses he filmed with by promising to make them famous. This anonymous "source" maintained that while he was working on films like Hoffa, Danny DeVito was also canoodling with a young blonde from the set.

That source also alleged that everyone on set knew about what was happening and that Rhea and Danny's marriage was "hanging by a thread" for at least ten years already by the time they split.

It's worth noting that those rumors were never confirmed, and Danny's rep even told Page Six, "Without names, it is the pure and simple fabrication and not worthy of a comment."

And despite being separated for so long, Rhea Perlman maintains that she doesn't plan to ever divorce Danny. That doesn't really sound like someone who's been cheated on in Hollywood.

In fact, Rhea told NY Post as much, saying "We agree on enough things, so why [ruin] that with the yucky things that come with a divorce?"

And it's true, Rhea noted in 2018, "We’ve been together a very long time, so there’s a lot of love and history." She also elaborated in an interview with Andy Cohen that their relationship had actually improved after they separated, which is the case for many couples!

Clearly, the two are still good friends, sharing time with their adult kids and even continuing to work together, while ignoring the rumors that swirl around them.

Since their split, not only have the duo been getting along more, but Rhea and Danny have continued their acting efforts. Rhea has found herself appearing in Poms, The Goldbergs, Funny Face, and Harley Quinn, the TV series, to name a few!

As for Danny, the actor continues to appear on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia playing Frank Reynolds, a role he's held since 2006!
