Every city in the popular Real Housewives franchise is entertaining, dramatic, and set in a beautiful place with lots of wealthy people. From the very beginning, viewers knew that Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards were good pals. They often talked about their close, long-term friendship, and when they had tension, they were really upset and wanted things to get back to normal.

Sometimes, Kyle wasn't the best friend to Lisa on the series, and fans know that in season 9, the friendship seemed to be over for good.

Season 11 of RHOBH has begun airing and now Kyle is on the show with her sister Kathy, who she has had some conflict with in the past. Are Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards still fighting? Let's take a look.

Where They Are Now

Lisa Vanderpump and Kelly Dodd have had recent drama and LVP has also fought with her now former friend, Kyle Richards.

When appearing on The Skinny Confidential His & Her Podcast in January 2021, Lisa talked about her friendship with Kyle. According to Heavy.com, she explained, “I seem to run into Kyle a few times. She always runs up to me and she always goes, ‘Hi, how are you?’ And I go, ‘Good.' But I think when somebody doesn’t have good intention for you, where does that leave a friendship? I want friends around me that have good intention for me.”

It sounds like the two do see each other out and about since they live in the same place, but they aren't friends anymore.

It also sounds like Kyle has attempted to be close with Lisa again, but Lisa doesn't want to at all. According to Us Weekly, Lisa talked about the situation in March 2019 when she wrote a blog post. She said, “For me to put my hand to God and swear on my children’s life and still have my friend disbelieve me is unacceptable. I assure you, if any of my friends were as vociferous in their statement of innocence, holding up their children’s life … guess what? I would believe them. That is where the show started but is ultimately where our friendship finished.”

According to Us Weekly, Kyle told the publication in November 2018 that she tried getting in touch: “Emails and text messages and, you know, I don’t know what else to do. As far as I’m concerned, the ball is in her court.”

The Big Fight

How did this friendship end? In season 9, Kyle and Lisa had a fight at Lisa's house.

According to Bravotv.com, Kyle said that there was an article talking about what everyone began calling Puppygate. Dorit Kemsley adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs, which is Lisa's center, and it didn't go well as the dog didn't get along with her children. She found a home for the dog, and this led to a lot of drama.

Kyle told Lisa that everyone in their social group felt that Lisa had sold the article. Lisa said that she didn't and her husband, Ken Todd, became very upset. Lisa made Kyle leave her house and she screamed at her.

Later, LVP tweeted, "I was probably still overly emotional, was the day before my birthday and life was challenging. Not proud of yelling," according to People.

Even though this fight meant that they don't talk anymore, Kyle stands by her actions. According to Cheat Sheet, she said, “No, I feel bad about the result but I felt it was the right thing to do. Otherwise [Vanderpump] would’ve just seen it in the episode and I felt it was the right thing to go and tell her what was going on.”

The Restaurant Bill

While it seems like the friendship is definitely over for good, the two have had some drama recently that suggests there is some bad blood.

People say that when Lisa and Kyle were at the same L.A. restaurant, Lisa sent her bill to Kyle. Us Weekly reported that Kyle went on Watch What Happens Live on May 19th and explained what happened.

Kyle said that she was having dinner with a producer and Lisa sent the bill over. She explained, “She never speaks to me when I see her, and I say hello to her. Every time I see her, I go up, I’m polite. And the last time she was so rude that this was actually the first time I didn’t go up to her table.”

Kyle said she is sure that Lisa did pay the bill before she left the restaurant, and later, Lisa said that she paid the bill and left a tip. Lisa said "Kyle can’t be trusted to tell the truth, and she most certainly can’t take a joke."
