TheThings has been keeping up with Mia Thornton and Candiace Dillard-Bassett's social media feud over the last few days, but Real Housewives of Potomac fans on Twitter have pointed out that this beef is a whole lot deeper than ANY of us could have expected!

Throwback Turned Throwdown

Soon after Mia posted close-up pictures of Candiace's feet to her Instagram and Twitter accounts, fans were quick to point out that she must have scrolled down pretty far in the feed to find the picture, dated 1 January 2020.

Twitter user @angeelinnaa_m wrote, "you had to SCROLL to find that picture Mia. that picture was posted in 2019. you actually took the time to SEARCH her profile and then lurk through all her pictures that far back, zooming in on her feet."

In response, @GingerTee1 pointed out that "someone could've sent Mia the picture since Candiace keeps referencing her feet."

Well, it seems like that's exactly what happened - though most fans could never have anticipated just who that "someone" was.

The Feud Takes A Shocking Twist

While Mia's Instagram offensive was cropped so the image only showed Candiace herself, the same can't be said of picture she uploaded to Twitter.

Eagle-eyed Twitter user, @candiace_clique pointed out that the full screenshot showed who really found the picture from way back when. Spoiler alert: it wasn't Mia!

Rather, the profile picture revealed that Cherita Cookie Whiting - AKA Monique Samuels' best friend - was behind the lurking.

For fans who might not remember where the drama between Cookie and Candiace stems from, Instagram user @alltruetea was on hand to remind everyone that Cookie was responsible for having Candiace's performance of the national anthem at a Washington Fusion game, a while back.

While Cookie herself has not weighed in on the matter, and her social media profiles are set to 'private,' there's no denying that this is some piping hot tea!

Monique And Mia's Responses

Monique has yet to respond to the most recent developments of this feud. However, as TheThings reported yesterday, she did comment that while she was 'minding her own business' she 'wasn't mad' about Mia's dig at Candiace, either.

Mia, on the other hand, has been forthcoming in how she got hold of the zoomed in pictures.

Responding to Twitter users telling her she had made a 'rookie error,' Mia took to Instagram to comment, "No mistakes love. Try me. I play hardball. Remember #idgaf - More to come if apologies are not made. Just saying."

Well, it seems like Mia isn't backing down, and this feud is only just beginning. The question is, will Candiace apologize?

We'll have to stay tuned!
