The ladies of the Real Housewives franchise always have more drama than can even fit into a single season. But the feud between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard-Bassett has been off the charts.

Samuels has a $4 million net worth but all the money in the world wouldn't stop the tension and conflict between these two cast members. According to People.com, Samuels physically attacked Dillard-Bassett in several episodes of RHOP. She took hold of Dillard-Bassett's wig and "dragged her across the table." Producers actually came in and made sure that they had stopped fighting, which is pretty unheard of in the history of this Bravo franchise.

The ladies of Potomac have interesting personalities and sometimes that means big fights.

What is going on between these two cast members? Let's take a look at the feud between Samuels and Dillard-Bassett.

Candiace's Side Of The Story

Some Real Housewives arguments last when the cameras aren't rolling and that has definitely happened here.

Dillard-Bassett appeared on The Sarah Fraser Show and explained how horrified she is about what happened in the fifth season of the reality show. She said in the podcast interview, “Would you want to reconcile with someone who has not only doubled, not only tripled but quadrupled down on her version of this story? It’s like fairytales and fallacies gone wild. And it just nauseates me.”

In a surprising revelation, Dillard-Bassett said that she would like Samuels to go to jail for assault charges. She said, "I don’t need [her] husband’s money. I need [her] to go to jail.”

Dillard-Bassett continued that appearing in a reunion episode wouldn't make much sense because it would be the same thing all over again. She told Sarah Fraser, “I have nothing to say. I think my [willingness] to be in the room with her is so that I can laugh. Because she’s going to backpedal, and [beat] around the bush, and come with 27 different versions of the same story; it’s going to be a repeat of what we’ve already seen… and I’ve seen enough. I’ve heard enough. I’m actually disgusted by it.”

More On The Feud

It sounds like these two reality stars are never going to be able to get along. According to Cheat Sheet, they started getting under each other's skin in the fourth season when Ashley Darby was trying to have a baby, and Dillard "questioned" that, which made Samuels upset and angry. Although they had a "truce" at the end of season four, they had this physical fight at a winery in season five, the one that everyone knows about now because it was such a wild moment.

Samuels appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live and shared her side of the feud.

Samuels said, "She kept thinking that I was on Ashley [Darby]'s side. And my whole thing was it's not about sides. That's so immature. We're talking about what's right and what's wrong. You're attacking a woman for her drinking because you don't think she's trying to get pregnant and all of the things she was doing. It was like for what? And there was no reason behind it."

Samuels continued, "So I just wanted to tell her, I said, 'Look at me last year. I was doing things that I shouldn't have [done], and look how it turned out, so don't go down that road.' So it wasn't that I was trying to put myself on a pedestal; I just wanted her to do better and take me for example and move forward and stop being so combative."

Taking Sides

How do the other cast members feel about this feud?

According to the Daily Mail, Ashley Darby told the publication that she supports Samuels. She said, "I'm definitely there for Monique. I check on her."

Darby explained, "'I've always made it clear to Monique that I really value the woman that she is. We've had some issues in our friendship in the past, but when the time was really rough for me Monique was always there for me."

According to Cheat Sheet, Gizelle Bryant says that Samuels was "wrong" here. She explained, “Were they both in the wrong? Absolutely not. I do want the viewers to see and kind of give their opinion on who was right and who was wrong, but I don’t feel like they were both wrong, no."

According to Bustle.com, the two reality stars "accused the other of second-degree assault" and filed complaints with Maryland's District Court of Montgomery County.

The charges were then dismissed by the Montgomery Country State's Attorney's Office. Bravo had shown them some scenes of what happened and the two reality stars along with others who were there talked to the court.
