When it was announced that Monique Samuels would be leaving the Real Housewives after four seasons, fans immediately wondered who the network would cast in her spot. Well, Bravo has certainly hit the mark with RHOP newbie, Mia Thornton, who is comin' in guns blazing, and we mean blazing!
From being open about her many tweaks, family life, all the way to her business, Mia Thornton is definitely sparking some interest! In addition to her lavish lifestyle, the Bravo star is already giving fellow co-star, Wendy Osefo an earful, and fans are living for every moment.
Who Is Mia Thornton?
It was announced by Bravo that Baltimore resident, Mia Thornton would be joining the fellow ladies of Potomac in the series' sixth season!
This all came about following Monique Samuels' departure from the show, which was influenced by her past altercation with Candiace Dillard, who has since remained on the series.
Although fans were introduced to Mia Thornton in the season six premiere at Wendy Osefo's "Nude Interlude" party, they finally got an inside look into both her family life and her no-nonsense attitude in tonight's episode.
Mia was brought onto the show through Karen Huger, and while she's gotten on well with most of the ladies, it appears as if Mia Thornton and Wendy Osefo are not meshing all too great!
Following Wendy's unnecessary dig at Mia's many physical alterations, the esteemed Dr. and political commentator got into it again with Thornton, showing fans that the newbie definitely has a not-so-sweet side!
Luckily for Mia, she isn't phased in the slightest, claiming that Wendy is simply "insecure" and alluded to her possibly being unhappy at home. Yikes!
Whenever she isn't feuding with castmates, quite early on might we add for a newbie, proving Mia is bold, and we love it, the 36-year-old is taking care of her business and of course, her family! Mia Thornton is a wife and mother before a businesswoman, however, she is still trying to find a balance with all three! “I am still working through being a mom, CEO, and wife!” Mia shared.

The star is married to Gordon Thornton, who is 32-years-her senior, and the duo shares two kids, while Mia also has her eldest, Joshua, from a previous romance. Together, Mia and Gordon, or "G" as he goes by on RHOP, own chiropractic clinics across the US!
“We have 14 Joint chiropractic practices in 4 different states, and I’ve taken on more of a leadership role as the boss CEO in charge!” Mia shared during her confessional. While "G" has taken a step down, Mia has stepped up, and currently stands as the CEO of the family business.
With the success of their practices and many other businesses, which include owning Giselle Executive Management DBA, Mia Thornton has managed to amass a net worth of $5 million!
Considering Mia has taken quite a liking to cosmetic procedures, designer everything, and a gorgeous 37,000 sq. ft. home along Inner Harbour, Baltimore, it's no surprise that she's worth quite the figure! As the season progresses, it's becoming clear that Mia Thornton is putting up with nothing and nobody, and it looks like she's already got her sights set on Wendy!
