As the rest of the RHOSLC cast attempts to wrap their brain's around the shocking events that transpired with Shah's arrest, we are trying to wrap our heads around how it took so long for all of Jen's red flags to finally tip off the FBI, or so we think that's what it was. As the events played out on-screen, it became evident that someone in the cast could've tipped off the feds, and all clues lead to Meredith Marks.

Jen Shah Arrested For Fraud

Jen Shah has shocked all Bravo fans when it was revealed that she was arrested earlier this year for being the mastermind behind a massive money laundering and fraud scheme that targeted the elderly. This obviously didn't sit well with viewers, who immediately called for Jen to be fired.

This has been the case with many Housewives stars who get caught up in trouble with the law, including Erika Jayne and Teresa Giudice, however, Shah's case is next level, federal level to be exact. Shah was taken into custody prior to a cast trip, but not before getting a suspicious phone call from her hubby, Sharrieff.

Jen's demeanor instantly changed, and after asking Whitney Rose to turn her mic off, it was clear that she knew the gig was up! The moment was captured in the very first two minutes of the season two premiere, which had us all glued to our screens.

Considering the gravity of the situation, Jen can be facing quite a lot of prison time, however, the ladies seemed to be more interested in how the FBI managed to locate Jen Shah at the time of her arrest. Lisa Barlow can be heard qu

Did Meredith Tip-Off The FBI?

Meredith Marks was instantly brought into the equation when it came to Jen Shah's arrest, leaving Jen herself, a few cast members, and viewers at home wondering if Marks played a role in tipping off the feds. This can easily be linked to Marks' experience in the field of law, which she too claims isn't helping her case.

In an interview with E! News, Meredith addresses the rumors and discusses how well versed she is when it comes to law. "I'm not a practicing lawyer, I never have been a practicing lawyer but I am a licensed lawyer and I do have the background and the education. So I think in some ways my knowledge of the law might have lead people to believe that I knew more about this situation than they did or than the general public did I guess," she told the publication.

Considering this is a federal case, there must've been an investigation brewing for years, which is prior to any of the ladies joining the show. So, when asked if she had anything to do with Jen Shah's arrest, Meredith Marks was quick to deny any and all rumors linking her to being the one to tip off the FBI.

"For the record, I can say that I did not have anything to do with Jen's arrest," she said. While fans are certain Meredith's hands are clean, that didn't stop a few online accounts from creating some meme-tastic content that had us all LOL'ing!

Meredith Marks Was Shocked By The Arrest

Meredith has gone on to admit that she was just as surprised regarding Jen's arrest, however, she certainly doesn't feel too much sympathy, considering Shah herself went on to accuse Marks of playing a role in her being turned over to the feds. Luckily for Meredith, the proof is in the pudding!

During tonight's episode, fans get a sneak peek into Jen and her family's newest rental home, with a closet big enough to fit a family of five, ten times over! Considering Jen's occupation has come into question in the past, fans continue to wonder how she can afford a massive Salt Lake City chalet with a closet full of designers this or that. Smells a little fishy, right?

While the red flags have always been there, Meredith shared that Shah's arrest still shocked her! "Look, that's shocking to hear about anyone," she told E! "First of all even if you think someone might be doing something that's not legal or whatever else, you just don't imagine them getting arrested that day, you know what I'm saying? So of course it's shocking."
