After months of fans hanging on the edge of their seats, the long-awaited episode featuring Jen Shah's arrest is set to hit viewers' screens this weekend, and it's unlikely that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans will have anything else on their minds.

From how the drama went down on the day, to who knew what ahead of the arrest, the Bravosphere is abuzz with questions - but unfortunately for those seeking clarity, we'll just have to sit tight until Sunday's episode, when the storyline finally unfolds since first hitting the news in March of this year.

In the meantime, however, Meredith Marks has been forthcoming with her thoughts on the allegations, with the trailer seeming to show the businesswoman implore her co-stars to shift their focus onto the '"hundreds of people" who have been affected by the alleged misdeeds.

In an exclusive sit-down with TheThings, she opened up about what made her wary of the situation, early on, and detailed how her educational and professional background impacted her take.

As Meredith recently shared in an episode of the Let's Talk About... podcast, she holds a joint degree in both law and business.

However, while the jewelry designer ultimately went on to build a successful jewelry business with a host of celebrity clients, she never practiced law - bar one caveat.

"I was, at one point, when my sister was getting a divorce, appointed as co-counsel, just so I could sit in judge's chambers with her lawyers," she laughed, "but that was the extent of my practice, so I don't really count that!"

That being said, she continued, "there is something to be said for thinking like a lawyer. You're trained to analyze, and legal reason is very logical."

"You can't go from A to D. You have to go A, to B, to C, to D."

The Moment Meredith First Questioned Jen's Businesses

That kind of logical reasoning surely impacted Meredith's thought processes when it came to Jen's explanation of what she did for a living - but it was her business savvy that really set off alarm bells in her mind.

Asked whether she had any concerns over Jen's business dealings prior to the arrest, she replied, "yeah, of course I did."

Expanding on that, she chuckled, "as a businesswoman, I do consider myself intelligent, and [despite that] I couldn't understand what she did, so that was a question mark to me."

"I had asked her when we first met, and she said she had these marketing companies, and she had three of them, and I didn't quite understand why she needed three. That didn't make sense to me."

Another question mark, she added, was, "why was there no marketing of her marketing companies?"

"Then," Meredith continued, "she talked about writing algorithms, which is something totally different, and lead generation, and all these different things and I was just like...I don't get it. It didn't make sense."

Speaking to Us Weekly's Getting Real with the Housewives podcast a while back, Meredith maintained that under the law, Jen was innocent until proven guilty, and sure enough, viewers will need to wait for the beginning of Jen's trial in 2022 before knowing all the details.

In the meantime, fans will be able to see the beginnings of the drama unfold from this Sunday onwards.
