10 She's A Midwestern Gal Living In The West Coast
Lili Reinhart is currently living on the West Coast but Reinhart hasn't always been a California girl. In fact, she's from the Midwest! Lili Reinhart was born and raised in the Cleveland suburb of Bay Village.
After finding her love for performing, Reinhart told W Magazine. that her mom used to drive her to New York City every month for auditions and it's because of her that she has a career. "My mom would take off work to take me to auditions, because they believed in me, which is a very big leap of faith," she said.
9 Buying A Home In LA Is Her End Goal
At the age of 18, Lili moved from Cleveland to Los Angles to make her dreams become a reality. After landing the role of Betty Cooper in Riverdale, Lili made another move to Vancouver, Canada where the show is being filmed.
She told Architectural Digest that she has an apartment in Vancouver where she lives full-time but her end goal is to buy a home in Los Angeles. She told the magazine, "I really want to live in L.A. That is the goal. That’s where I want to settle down and buy a house.”
8 Acting Almost Didn't Happen For Lili
As amazing as an actress as Lili is, acting almost didn't work out for the star. After moving to LA at such a young age, she didn't find instant success and questioned her future.
She thought about moving back to Cleveland to get her head on right, which was around the time she sent her audition tape in for the role of Betty Cooper. After she landed the role, the rest was history.
7 And She Had A Backup Career In Mind
If Lili didn't land the part of Betty Cooper for Riverdale and decided to give up on her dreams, she had a backup plan in mind: a makeup artist.
She told Imagista, "I was planning on going to makeup school because I had dabbled in it as a hobby and I always thought that I could make a career out of it." Luckily for Reinhart, her acting career took off but thanks to her Instagram, it looks like she still enjoys playing around with her looks.
6 She Did Her Own Makeup On Riverdale!
Speaking of makeup, Lili was so good at nailing cosmetics that she actually did some of her own makeup for Riverdale! According to Seventeen, Lili "struggled with acne" and decided to take over.
"We have a head of makeup and she's great, but I know my skin better than anyone else and I know what works," she said. She continued saying "Riverdale is such a perfect world that my skin has to look perfect, so I cover my breakouts; it's just the aesthetic of the show, which can be hard."
5 She's Very Different From Betty IRL
In Riverdale, Betty Cooper is the perfect girl next door. From the outside, she looks like she has a perfect life. She's a great student, she had lovely parents, she lived in a safe neighborhood, and she had popular friends. As fans know, Betty's life is far from perfect.
While talking about her character, Reinhart couldn't help but notice their differences. Reinhart noted that "Betty is the person who is friends with everyone. I'm the kind of person if I don't like you, unfortunately, you know that." She continued saying that her expressions go right to her face, making it hard to hide what she's feeling.
4 She's A Thriller-Movie Enthusiest For A Reason
As upbeat and "perfect" as Riverdale can be, it's also a very dark show with thrilling aspects. There's hidden agendas, addictions, murder — the small town of Riverdale is not always a charming town, which is something Reinhart loves.
She told InStyle, that she likes "darker things." She's never been fond of comedies or lighter movies. "I enjoy watching thrillers and horror movies and dramas," she continued.
3 Lili Is Not A Coffee Person For Early Shoots On Set
Any actor will say that most shoots take place early in the morning and can go through the night. Life on set of Riverdale is the same but you won't see Lili with a hot coffee in the morning to wake up.
She prefers Coca Cola because she doesn't like coffee. She even admitted that Pillsbury sent her cookie dough to fulfill her sweet tooth but she stores it on set for everyone to enjoy.

These days, it's not to scroll endlessly on social media, especially when you're as popular as Lili Reinhart. But Lili prefers to spend her time with books instead of on her phone. She told AD that "it is nice to kind of distract yourself" when you're reading books "in a world of make-believe."
She explained that being on set for 16 hours a day forced her to keep busy on her downtime, which led to reading books on top of books.
