Needless to say, the song was extremely successful and it won Adele plenty of awards — including Grammy Awards in the categories Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Short Form Music Video.
9 "Firework" By Katy Perry
Another track that was big in 2011 is Katy Perry's hit "Firework". The single — which was on her third studio album Teenage Dream which was released in 2010 — definitely became a classic and it also got nominations at the Grammy Awards in the categories Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Today, "Firework" certainly remains one of Katy Perry's biggest hits!
8 "Born This Way" By Lady Gaga
Let's move on to Mother Monster a.k.a. Lady Gaga who released her iconic single "Born This Way" 10 years ago. The song was the lead singer from her second studio album of the same name and it immediately became a huge hit.
Just as iconic is the music video for the song which was definitely inspired by Sorella's painters like Salvador Dali and Francis Bacon.
7 "Party Rock Anthem" By LMFAO Featuring Lauren Bennett And GoonRock
Next on the list is the hit "Party Rock Anthem" by music duo LMFAO, British singer Lauren Bennett, and music producer GoonRock. As soon as the hit was released it was evident that it's going to be one of the biggest hits of the year and it ended up going to number one in countless countries. "Party Rock Anthem" is the lead single from LMFAO's second studio album Sorry for Party Rocking.
6 "On The Floor" By Jennifer Lopez Featuring Pitbull
2011 was a great year for Jennifer Lopez as she released her seventh studio album Love?. From it, the star released the single "On The Floor" featuring rapper Pitbull which immediately became a big success. "On The Floor" features samples from the song "Llorando se fue" (that are also used in the 1989 hit "Lambada"). Besides the English version, Jennifer also released a Spanish-language version titled "Ven a Bailar".
5 "What's My Name?" By Rihanna Featuring Drake
Barbadian musician Rihanna and Canadian rapper Drake are certainly no strangers to successful collaborations and 2011 was an amazing year for the two. That year, Rihanna's hit "What's My Name?" which features the Canadian rapper became an international success. "What's My Name?" is the second single from Rihanna's fifth studio album Loud which was released in 2010.

Let's move on to the hit "Grenade" which is the second single released from Bruno Mars's debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans.

3 "Super Bass" By Nicki Minaj
Next on the list is one of Nicki Minaj's biggest hits — the song "Super Bass". The hit is from the deluxe version of Nicki Minaj's debut studio album Pink Friday which was released in 2010 — and it definitely remains one of the star's most iconic songs. Another famous collaboration that found its way onto today's list of the biggest hits of 2011 is the song "Moves like Jagger". The song — which is sung by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera — was by far one of the biggest hits of that year, and hopefully, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera decide to collaborate again in the future. "Moves like Jagger" was the final single from the re-release of Maroon 5's third studio album Hands All Over.

Wrapping the list up is, of course, a Taylor Swift song because she is the one musician that certainly dominated the past decade. In 2011, the song "Back to December" from her third studio album Speak Now was definitely a big hit — and true Swifties still love listening to this extremely emotional ballad!
