As it turns out, this has been an issue those in Hollywood have noticed in the recent years. During Bruce's film 'Out Of Death', the director noticed Bruce was entirely himself and in addition, he was told to shorten the actor's lines.
"After the first day of working with Bruce, I could see it firsthand and I realized that there was a bigger issue at stake here and why I had been asked to shorten his lines,” Burns said to the LA Times.

Bruce Willis Had A Short-Fuse During The Interview
Alongside Showbiz Jamie, Bruce Willis appeared with Mary Louise Parker promoting the film, 'Red 2'. Prior the interview, Willis seemed to be playful with the host, jokingly putting pressure on him.
When the questions started, Willis seemed to be quite off, particularly when the host asked him which place was his favorite location to shoot during the film. Bruce would respond, "Istanbul," which was met with confusion by the interviewer who knew it was not part of the film.
Bruce seemed irritated for the rest of the interview, basically stating that he really didn't want to be there, "Has any actor ever told you this Jamie, that this part is not acting what we're doing right now, you might be, but we're just selling the film now. The fun part was making the movie."
Willis didn't do the film any favors either, claiming "I would slash my hooves," to watch it again, though it is unclear if that's what he really meant. Regardless, the film did great at the box office.
At first glance, fans weren't happy with Bruce's attitude but given the recent announcement, fans are now looking at it differently.
