Let's face it, Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool, minus the superhero abilities.

He loves making jokes and showing us the true depths his dry humor can go, even if it's at the expense of his wife, Blake Lively, to whom he's been married since 2012. More recently, he's found a way of making his vaccine announcement hilarious and has shared what it's like raising girls who have an obsession with Baby Shark.

But if you need more hysterically funny stories about Reynolds, look no further. What many people might not know about Reynolds is that he has a couple of tattoos. That's not the funny part. The funny part is that he regrets getting them...all of them. Sounds about right for the Green Lantern actor.

Plenty of actors make bad decisions when it comes to tattoos. Johnny Depp had to remove his "Winona Forever" tattoo once he and Winona Ryder split. The same for Melanie Griffith, who removed her tattoo of "Antonio" once she and Antonio Banderas split. Everyone from Angelina Jolie to Megan Fox has gotten tattoos removed.

So it's not outrageous to hear Reynolds doesn't like his. But why does he regret his tattoos, and will he get them removed?

He Has Tattoos On His Wrist, And Leg

Reynolds only has a couple of tattoos, but that's clearly enough for him. They aren't exactly big and eye-catching either.

He has a small cannon on the outside of his left wrist. It pays homage to the matching cannon, known as Nine O’clock Gun, which is fired every day at 9 p.m. in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada.

On the same wrist, next to the cannon, on the inside, are the words "Know Thyself." He got it so he could remind himself every day who he really is when he's not in front of a camera.

Reynolds also has a bunch of tattoos on his right leg. We got a glimpse of some when he went on vacation with his wife and their good friend Taylor Swift. As you do.

Some of them are quotes in various fonts and sizes, while others are harder to make out. There are a "six of hearts" playing card and a dance-related quote on his calf.

Speaking of tattoos, Reynolds once had a pretty big fake tattoo on his chest.

During Reynolds' surprise appearance in Hobbs & Shaw, his character Locke shows the Rock's character, Hobbs, that working with him in the past had such a lasting effect on him that he got a matching chest tattoo.

Fans of the Rock will know that his chest tattoo is genuine, and Reynolds fans will know that his matching one is not. He just had it for the movie, but Reynolds took time out of filming to post about it like it was real. He posted a picture of both of them pulling back their shirts to reveal the tattoos.

"I can only imagine how upset I was to discover this," he wrote. To which the Rock replied, "You pull your shirt back to reveal our ink and it looks cool & sexy. I pull my shirt back and it looks like an indicator that I eat women and children."

Fake tattoos aside, Reynolds has many tattoos, which is interesting considering his views about them.

He Hates All Of Them

In an interview with the New Yorker, Reynolds said that he hates every single tattoo. They are from his younger days, so that's sort of understandable.

"I hate them all," he said, before looking at the tattoo "Know Thyself" and making a joke that it really said, "Cut here."

Part of the reason why he hates them so much, other than the fact that he thinks they're corny, is because it takes three hours in makeup to cover them up for a film. Only one has come in handy; the "six of hearts" was left uncovered because it was relevant to Reynolds' film Mississippi Grind, a film about gambling.

"You do see one in ‘Mississippi Grind,’ a six of hearts on my leg, which makes sense for the role," he said. "Still, I’d get them all lasered off if it wasn’t hours and hours of brutal pain."

"But my wife says I should keep them, keep a record of the choices I’ve made." Ouch. You live, and you learn, Reynolds. At least the tattoos are concealable. What's not concealable is Reynolds' humor about the situation. He really does have a knack for turning things he hates into jokes. We're just glad there's no Green Lantern tattoo there somewhere. That would be cheesy.
