Singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter will finally release more music! The Girl Meets World alum announced she would be releasing her new song "Skinny Dipping" on Sept. 9. She then posted a quick snippet of her upcoming song, while skinny dipping in a lake.

Twitter reacted to the video almost immediately after Carpenter posted it. While some fans showed excitement about the song release, others were mainly impressed with what Carpenter did to promote it.

Fans were not the only ones who took notice of the video. Actors Dove Cameron, Ella Balinska, and Corey Fogelmanis also commented and given emoji's on her video on Instagram, with Fogelmanis agreeing with her caption and saying, "i would never even allude to that lie of a sentence, ever."

Carpenter also posted the video on her TikTok account, leading to comments regarding her time with Disney. However, others have wanted to know who took the video. One user later combined both of the frequent comment topics by asking, "ok but who's the camera man? farkel???"

"Skinny Dipping" is a song that's a mix of pop and alternative, which are the main genres of Carpenter's music. Although it is currently unknown who wrote the song, she will likely be credited as a songwriter.

Before the latest video, Carpenter posted the single's cover art, and a video of part of the song playing on a tape cassette player on her Instagram. This comes after releasing "Skin" in Jan. 2021 as the lead single off of her upcoming fifth album. However, she has not posted anything else regarding the album, and it is unknown how many songs will be on it.

Although Carpenter skinny dipping may have been a surprise to some, fans have also known her to have a daring side, with one user tweeting about how she walked barefoot in New York City. She also made headlines for her shocking feud with Olivia Rodrigo, with "Skin" and "Drivers License" including lyrics that appear to be shades towards one another. As of this publication, there is no word regarding their relationship and if they have since ended the feud.

The star had previously given multiple teasers on Instagram for "Skin," including a clip of its music video. She began to announce plans for a fifth album shortly after releasing her fourth studio album Singular: Act II in 2019.

Outside of her music career, Carpenter will reprise her role as Harper Kreyman in Tall Girl 2 and play Maddy in the film Emergency. Although neither film has a release date, Tall Girl 2 wrapped in May 2021, and will likely be released in 2022.

Carpenter's show Girl Meets World continues to stream on Disney+, and one can see her films such as The Hate U Give and Tall Girl on Hulu and Netflix. Her music is available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.
