Popstar Britney Spears’ fiance has taken to Instagram to share his thoughts on injustice, following Netflix’s Britney Vs. Spears trailer being released.

September 23, saw Netflix release the trailer for the highly anticipated, Britney Vs. Spears documentary. The documentary is set to follow the life events of the Oops!.. I Did It Again singer through the span of her abusive conservatorship under her father, Jamie Spears. The documentary will also cover the legal case Spears is currently involved in to eliminate her father’s conservatorship and regain her assets.

The trailer begins with a shot of Spears onstage as we hear her say, “I just want my life back” over the footage. The video then cuts to paparazzi footage of Spears whilst some heartbreaking facts about the singer's life are revealed.

We hear a voice state, “Britney’s been silenced to speak out about anything that’s really going on.”

Subsequent to this, British photographer and ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, states, “Britney never had one person she could trust. Not mom, not dad.”

As the trailer progresses, viewers are shown an array of footage of both, Spears and some legal documents associated with the conservatorship case. Amongst this footage viewers are teased with shocking details, such as leaked confidential reports and the seeming confirmation that Spears had not been evaluated by professionals.

The trailer ends with an impactful quote from Spears herself as she states, “I deserve to have the same rights as anybody does. It’s been 13 years and it’s enough.” The full documentary is set to be released on Netflix, September 28.

Following the release of the trailer, fans of the singer took to different platforms to share their opinions and speak out on the serious topics the upcoming documentary will explore. Many expressed their pride at what had started as a “fan conspiracy”, had achieved. They branded the upcoming documentary “a statement on human rights”.

Amongst die-hard fans speaking out was Spears’ future husband, Sam Asghari. Asghari took to Instagram to express his own thoughts that had been triggered by the documentary trailer. He outlined his wishes for the mass profit that the documentary would inevitably rack in.

Asghari stated, “I hope the profit from these docs go towards fighting against injustice #freebritney.”

The statement comes in the wake of Asghari being branded as “controlling” by Spears’ fans. Fans of the singer vocalized their opinions on her fiance following her disappearance from social media. Many believed that the reason for her sudden media boycott was due to Asghari having taken “complete control over her.”
