A mom will do anything to help their children, but in real life, Lori Loughlin went too far. Aunt Becky and her hubby have been accused of paying half a million dollars to ensure that their daughters were recruited to be a part of the USC crew team and pleaded not guilty. Neither daughter participated on the team their admission was based upon. You’d think Loughlin would use some of her money for tutors and SAT prep instead of bribes. Court will determine what comes next, including jail time!

Very few shows are held up to the squeaky clean Windexed, Danny Tanner group-hug moments of Full House (and now Fuller House). Life lessons, cheesy catchphrases, babies and dogs who do tricks, and a big hug at the end, followed by a canned laugh track and notable, appreciative sigh, aren’t just a part of the show – they are the Full House brand.

While the Tanners themselves are G rated aspirational people, the celebs who play them are a lot more complicated than their TV counterparts. It turns out, life can’t be neatly wrapped up in 22 minutes, no matter how much sage advice Danny or DJ Tanner give their children.

Real people aren’t perfect. Add in money and the pressures of fame, and personal problems can become a lot bigger and grab the attention of the paparazzi and public. With Full House fame that spans three decades it’s no wonder there have been some unfortunate decisions and incidents involving various cast members. Here are 15 of the biggest scandals that plague the cast of Full House.

15 Aunt Becky School Bribery Scandal

A mom will do anything to help their children, but in real life Lori Loughlin went too far.

14 The Dark Secret Behind The Olsen Twin Movie Premiere

After Full House ended young actor Jodie Sweetin felt lost, so she turned to some dangerous vices. The middle Tanner sister wrote a tell-all memoir where she dished on her addictions and how she even took this addiction to a family-friendly premiere for the then child-actor Olsen Twins. Sweetin told US Weekly, "I was pulling off the deceit. It was hard for people to believe I was doing that much drugs. I look at photos from that event, and I didn't even look strung out!"

13 John Stamos DUI

After a family loss John Stamos lost control. It was in 2015 when he was arrested for a DUI that he finally hit rock bottom. At the time Stamos blamed his dangerous actions on coping with a sad time in his life telling Matt Lauer, "I lost my mother last year, who was the love of my life—obviously a difficult time for me. I had this moment; I had some time off and I had a decision to make. So, I took advantage of the time and I made a choice, and I'm just so grateful that I did." He has since better owned up to what he did and taken responsibility for this.

12 Jodie Sweetin & The Multiple Marriages

Even after getting clean Jodie Sweetin continues to feel drama in her life. The star has been married and since divorced three different times, and she has two children with two of these exes. She has more recently been dating Mescal Wasilewski and has gushed about their loving relationship in 2018 in a Valentine’s Day Post, saying he is the person who, “Who builds you up and never makes you feel small. Who supports your dreams and hopes and desires, and also has those of their own. Who doesn’t put a price tag on your love? Who holds your hand when you’re scared and doesn’t run away?” Hopefully it continues to go well.

11 Dirty Comic Meets TGIF Family Friendly Cast

Bob Saget has said he’s had to adjust his comedy over the years, and despite going from dirty to clean to dirty and clean again, he’s still editing things to fit with the political landscape. During an interview Saget said, “there's a misogynist thing I've pulled back on, which was very popular during the times I was on Entourage. People wanted to hear me act like I'm some bad*ss, when I'm just some skinny guy that looks like your dentist onstage. I really don't want to offend anybody. I like saying things and people go, "What?" and they laugh at the awkwardness of it or the truth of it.”

10 The Cast Party That Went To The Next Morning

In her memoir Sweetin talks about a party among Full House castmates that went all night long. All of them were adults and ended up passed out in one giant bed together only to be discovered by Bob Saget the next morning. When an internet troll commented on a sweet blast from the past photo Sweetin had shared of herself and Stamos from her childhood, and suggested that the two had slept together, Sweetin was quick to fire back in a comment saying, “Hahahah…um…what?! Yeah…that’s def not true.”

9 The Olsen Twin Connection To Heath Ledger

When Heath Ledger met his untimely death, people were confused and sad. One of the strange items surrounding his death was the connection to Mary-Kate Olsen. When Ledger’s masseuse found an unresponsive Ledger, she called Mary-Kate Olsen before dialing 911. While the police questioned Mary-Kate about why she was called, her connection to the deceased star, and knowledge of his drug use, the case was closed. There is still a mystery out there about her relationship with Ledger and why she was called before anyone else.

8 The Restraint Order & Against An Ex

Jodie Sweetin’s love life is a lot more complicated than her alter ego Steph Tanner. After a huge fight with her former fiancée Justin Hodak she was awarded a restraining order against him. Hodak was reported to have illegal guns in his possession and said he was going to end his life. The restraining order was broken a few days after it was issued and Hodak was arrested. Sweetin thanked fans on social media for their support saying, “Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out over the past two weeks. It's definitely been a roller coaster, but with amazing family, friends and fans, I'll be just fine! These two little loves are my everything and we will make it through!! Thank you for all the love!!"

7 Candace Cameron's Strict Parenting Approaches & Conservative Views

Candace Cameron isn’t afraid to speak her mind, even if it gets her into trouble. She has found herself being criticized for describing her marriage to her hockey player husband as being completely ‘submissive’. In her memoir, the star said, "I am not a passive person, but I chose to fall into a more submissive role in our relationship because I wanted to do everything in my power to make my marriage and family work." The star has also been criticized for her very strict parenting ideologies.

6 A Sober Connection

After her own recovery, Jodie Sweetin worked in addiction recovery. When fellow-castmate John Stamos hit rock bottom, Sweetin was there to support and help him turn his life around. When presenting Sweetin with an award, he was able to share his appreciation. He told the crowd, “It took me a long time, a long time disappointing everyone who cared about me, culminating in a terrible DUI where I could have killed somebody. I hit rock bottom. Jodie lovingly allowed me to walk my own path and when I finally humbled myself to ask for your help, I realized that the perky little blabbermouth had become the master of wisdom and was right by my side during some of the most difficult days of my life."

5 Bad Dad Behaviour On Set

Although the men on-screen during the series Full House were always well-behaved and doling out sugar-coated advice, they were real men with comedic backgrounds who made their own fun on set. Sometimes their fun wasn’t meant for a G audience and they’d make things more adult. The three reportedly pranked each other on the regular and Bob Saget specifically thought it was funny to behave badly with a mannequin that was on set.

4 The Coulier Alanis Morrisette Rumours

People have joked for years about the possibility of Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) being the subject of the Alanis Morrissette hit song, You Oughta Know. Since the two were once romantically linked people assumed the disparaging song was about Coulier. Many years later Couiler talked about the rumors to BuzzFeed and said, "First of all, the guy in that song is a real a-hole, so I don't want to be that guy."

3 The Thing About DJ's Real Life Brother

When Full House first aired, the big star in Candace Cameron’s family was her brother Kirk thanks to his fame from the show Growing Pains. He even made a guest appearance on the show as DJ’s favorite cousin. In more recent years Kirk has been known for his unusual and ultra-conservative religious views. Kirk has gotten himself into trouble numerous times for denying Darwin’s theory of evolution and saying things like, “Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband’s lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband”.

2 How Becky Won't Be Back

The cast was taken aback with the news about the Lori Laughlin college bribery scandal. Most of them won’t comment on it, which makes it highly unlikely that she will return for the final season of Fuller House. We’ll have to wait until it launches on Netflix before we find out for sure. John Stamos finally ended the silence during an interview with GQ when he said, “I'll tell you one thing that has been strange is: Honestly, I can't figure it out. It doesn't make sense. I talked to her the morning everything hit. I just can't process it still."

1 Danny Tanner Vs Bob Saget

When Bob Saget wrote his 2014 memoir, the star admitted he was very different from Danny Tanner in real life. Sometimes he’d be up to rude and lewd antics on set and get laughs from his adult co-stars, but get embarrassed when he realized that all the monitors were on. Years later in the stoner comedy Half Baked Saget famously broke out of his clean comic role when he said some very un-Danny Tanner things that are too intense to repeat here. In the comedic movie The Aristocrats, his interpretation of the joke was arguably the dirtiest.
