Seinfeld is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. Running for nine seasons and 180 episodes between 1989 and 1998, Seinfeld essentially changed the sitcom game forever and proved monumentally popular, earning tens of millions of viewers per episode. The finale generated 76 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched broadcasts in television history.

A show of this caliber makes its cast very, very rich. Unimaginably so. Of course, there is a great divergence in the cast's alleged net worth, owing to a variety of factors. Seinfeld helped create and write the show, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus went on to Veep, just no name a few accomplishments that helped the cast amass their fortunes.

Updated July 2023: Since this list was first put together three years ago, not much has changed. That is what happens when one show makes actors so incredibly successful that they do not have to act again if they choose not to.

Of course, a few of the actors who played memorable characters on the show have passed since the list was last updated. Because of this, unless there is news as to how their net worth was distributed among family members or to charities, their net worth will remain stable from this point forward.

10 Heidi Swedberg - $300,000

Heidi Swedberg had a recurring role throughout the fourth and seventh seasons of the show playing George's fiancée, Susan. Susan was infamously killed off in the seventh season finale after licking toxic envelopes.

The black comedy proved enormously controversial at the time, especially regarding the gang's general lack of care toward her death and fan theories about her death abounded. Controversial departure aside, Swedberg's time on Seinfeld made her very wealthy indeed. It is estimated that Swedberg has a net worth of $300,000. While this is peanuts compared to her Seinfeld co-stars, it is a good chunk of change nonetheless.

In her time since Seinfeld, Swedberg has been traveling the world performing and teaching ukulele. She is also a regular contributor to Ukulele Magazine.

9 Liz Sheridan - Between $1 And $5 Million

Liz Sheridan is perhaps most well-known for playing Jerry's mother, Helen. Unfortunately, Helen lived far away from Jerry, resulting in Sheridan only appearing in 21 of the show's 180 episodes.

Sheridan passed away at 93 years old in 2022.

Sheridan's career spanned decades and encompassed work on television and the theater stage. She also worked extensively as a dancer and singer. All this work has generated quite a nice little nest egg, and it's estimated that her net worth at the time of her death was estimated to be anywhere from $1 million to $5 million.

8 Estelle Harris - $5 Million

"You got ketchup on it!" Seinfeld fans are sure to remember the squeaky voice of Estelle Harris, who wonderfully and hilariously portrayed George's mother, Estelle. Harris has done a lot of extensive work outside of Seinfeld as well, voicing Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise and playing Muriel in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Harris passed away in 2002 at 93 years old. Just before she passed, still returned as Mrs. Potato Head in Toy Story 4. Her net worth at her time of death was an estimated $5 million.

He rose to prominence as Newman on Seinfeld and as Don Orville on 3rd Rock from the Sun, although he's also appeared in movies like Dirty Dancing, Jurassic Park, and Space Jam. Despite not being a megastar, Knight has earned quite a name for himself within the industry. His current net worth is an estimated $10 million, which is certainly nothing to laugh at.

6 Jerry Stiller - $14 Million

Unfortunately, Jerry Stiller passed away on May 11, 2020. Fortunately, he lived a long and happy life, making it to 92. Jerry Stiller saw initial fame through the comedy duo Stiller and Meara, working alongside his long-time wife, Anne Meara.

He later saw a major resurgence in popularity, both through his son, Ben Stiller, and his role as Frank Costanza on Seinfeld. He would later appear alongside his son in movies like Zoolander, Heavyweights, and Hot Pursuit. At the time of his death, it was estimated that Jerry Stiller was worth upwards of $14 million.

5 Michael Richards - $30 Million

Of the entire Seinfeld cast, Michael Richards was perhaps the most beloved, even if he did take playing Kramer too seriously. He won over hearts nationwide thanks to his role as the wacky and eccentric Kramer, and his physical comedy often generated insane laughter from the studio audience. Richards' career came to an unfortunate end in 2006 when he was caught unleashing a racist tirade on video.

He has returned to TV in numerous capacities since, but nothing has ever stuck, and his reputation remains ruined. However, it's not like he ever has to work again as he's currently worth an estimated $30 million.

4 Jason Alexander - $50 Million

What some people may not know is that Alexander is a devout lover of theater. He is the recipient of a Tony Award (for his work in Jerome Robbins' Broadway), and he served as artistic director of Reprise! Broadway's Best in Los Angeles. Perhaps this work elevated him above Michael Richards, as his network is an estimated $50 million.

3 Julia Louis-Dreyfus - $250 Million

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has perhaps the most substantial post-Seinfeld career. She has continued with some incredible work on television, most notably as Selina Meyer in HBO's Veep. The role earned her six straight Emmy wins (and seven straight nominations) for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, making it one of the most awarded performances in television history.

In 2016 she was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People, and in 2018 she received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Dreyfus currently has a net worth of $250 million, thanks in part to her latest venture, which is that of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

2 Larry David - $400 Million

It's kind of cheating placing Larry David on this list, as he never physically appeared on Seinfeld. However, he served as head writer throughout most of Seinfeld's run and provided the very distinct voice of George Steinbrenner, who served as George's boss while he was working for the New York Yankees.

Something was undoubtedly lost when David departed Seinfeld at the end of the seventh season. Considering his work on both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, it's no surprise that David is worth an astounding $400 million.

1 Jerry Seinfeld - $950 Million

And finally, there's the head honcho himself, Jerry Seinfeld. Seinfeld hasn't done a lot of acting work since Seinfeld, but he did host Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee on Netflix for several years, which helped with his overall net worth.

It perfectly sums up Seinfeld's personality since leaving the show behind, which is laid back, rich, and wanting nothing more than to just hang out with friends. It's not surprising, considering Seinfeld is nearly a billionaire. As of 2023, his net worth is at $950 million. In a few years' time, he could very well be part of the billionaire club, especially since he has no desire to stop his stand-up comedy routine.
