With 'Seinfeld' recently debuting on streaming giant Netflix, fans are going nuts binge-watching the entire series. But before they settle in and start watching from episode one, viewers should know about one Redditor's recent discovery.

Fans Noticed Something Off About Seinfeld's Apartment

For a long time, fans have admired Seinfeld's apartment. For New York City, which Jerry has said "annoys" him, the spacious digs are impressive. The main living area features room for a full-size couch and standing room for all Seinfeld's friends, which is a feat in itself for the Manhattan area.

There's also the impressive kitchen space, with a wraparound counter that most New Yorkers can only dream about. And sure, it's a TV set, so of course, some things will defy reality. But what about physics?

One fan broke down each element of Jerry's apartment from every angle and compiled a 3D rendering that shows their surprise discovery. Then again, not everyone is surprised.

Eagle-Eyed Fans Say Jerry's Hallway 'Can't Exist'

The 3D rendering by u/PixelMagic beautifully illustrates the physical impossibility that is Jerry Seinfeld's apartment. The highly-upvoted post from early in 2021 preceded the series' drop on Netflix, yet it still generated plenty of controversy.

The premise is that because of how Jerry Seinfeld's apartment is oriented, his hallway can't exist, because it would otherwise cut across his kitchen. So if there was a hallway in the 'Seinfeld' apartment building, it wound around as awkwardly as the show sometimes does.

Yet not everyone was convinced.

Is The Hallway Really Unrealistic?

Tons of viewers pointed out that throughout the series, Seinfeld and his friends were shown from various angles in various areas of his apartment. And while it didn't all add up space-wise, the compilation of different views might actually make sense, they say.

'Seinfeld' fans piled on their own "proof" that the set was actually really well-done and that no anomaly exists at all.

One such piece of proof was an image with an almost aerial view of a scene featuring Jerry and Julia Louis-Dreyfus; the two are in between Seinfeld's couch and the kitchen area, and it's clear where the hallway line would be drawn -- behind the kitchen wall, not through it.

Besides, one commenter noted, "explain Jerry's bathroom window with Kramer's apartment." Another commenter answered back that that was the "bigger anomaly." Then, the Redditor shared a virtual Matterport tour through the apartment.
