It has been nine years since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dated, but fans can't seem to let go. Justin has been married to Hailey Baldwin for over two years now and Selena has long moved on with her life.

Imagine having to be reminded every single day about your ex and his current relationship... with his wife. The fans are unknowingly creating a space where Selena must relive the trauma of their breakup over and over again.

Chanting "Selena" as Justin and his wife enter the red carpet at the Met Gala is not only traumatizing for the couple but borderline harassment.

Selena Gomez has expressed time and time again that she does not want to be roped into Justin Bieber's narrative anymore. It's exhausting for everyone involved and pinning the two women against each other is not what either star stands for.

Unfortunately, Jelena fans are still not ready to close the door on the Justin and Selena Saga.

The actions displayed by these fans were downright awful. Justin is now a married man to his wife, Hailey and they had to stand there at this glamorous event while fans screamed his ex's name at them.

This is not the first time Jelena fans have come for the couple, Hailey especially.

"Back in October 2019—over one year ago—Selena publicly called on her fans to stop attacking Hailey. At the time, Hailey sparked a scandal among Selenators when she posted an Instagram Story of herself listening to Summer Walker's "I'll Kill You" minutes after Selena released "Lose You to Love Me," her big Justin Bieber breakup song."

The harassment got so out of hand that Gomez had to say multiple times on social media to stop the attacks on Hailey.

"If you're my fans, don't be rude to anybody, please. Don't go off and say things that you just feel in the moment. And just please, from me, know that that's not my heart. My heart is only to release things that I feel are me and that I'm proud of. And that's all that I'll say, yeah." She added later, "Again, please be kind. Please, please, please be kind. I don't like seeing people being disrespectful or rude to other people, so please don't do that."
