While we all love how many new shows and movies get made all the time — there's something special about bringing an old story back and giving it a fresh look. Those shows and movies that have become so iconic we still reference them certainly deserve to be brought back to the screens and introduced to a new audience — even if that means changing the story.

Today, we're taking a look at all of those reboots, revivals, sequels, and prequels that we just can't wait to see. From iconic shows such as Sex and the City and Gossip Girl to movies like Clueless and She's All That — keep on scrolling what's currently being made!

10 'And Just Like That...' (HBO Max)

Kicking the list off is the Sex and the City revival And Just Like That... Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kristin Davis are all coming back as their beloved characters while Kim Cattrall won't be making an appearance. Here's what Sarah Jessica Parker revealed for TMZ:

"[We’re] shooting it in a city that we love and hoping to be part of a city that’s able to support artists and culture and institutions that have been closed down and the businesses that have been hurt [during COVID-19]."

No official release date has been yet set for the show.

9 'Powerpuff' (The CW)

Next on the list is the live-action remake of The Powerpuff Girls called Powerpuff. The upcoming show will star Dove Cameron, Chloe Bennet, and Yana Perrault — and while it has led to some negative comments from fans so far, the show is still in the making which means a lot could change. As far as the plot goes, Variety revealed that it would be about "the girls, now in their 20s, resent having lost their childhood to crime-fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?" Most likely, the show will be released in the fall of 2021.

8 'Gossip Girl' (HBO Max)

Another highly anticipated reboot that fans can't wait to see is the new Gossip Girl show. The project has the executive producer of the original, Joshua Safran, onboard, as well as co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

While the show will be set in the same universe as the original Gossip Girl, it will follow entirely new characters. The new show is going to premiere in July 2021.

7 'He's All That'

An upcoming remake movie that made it onto today's list is He's All That — inspired by the 90s teen classic She's All That. The movie — which tells the story of teenage girl Padget accepting the challenge to give the school's biggest loser, Cameron the ultimate high school makeover so he can be prom king. The movie stars Rachael Leigh Cook, Addison Rae, and Tanner Buchanan and it will be released on August 27 on Netflix.

6 'House Of The Dragon' (HBO)

Let's move on to the Game of Thrones prequel called House Of The Dragon. The plot of the show will be based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire companion book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon — and it will be set 300 years before Game of Thrones. The case will include Paddy Considine, Emma D'Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, and Rhys Ifans and it will be released in 2022.

5 'Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies' (Paramount+)

A famous movie that is getting a show spinoff is the John Travolta and Olivia Newton 1978 musical Grease. The web show will be called Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and it will follow the rise of the jacket-wearing girl gang the Pink Ladies. Originally, the show was supposed to be called Grease: Rydell High and it was going to be released on HBO Max, however, things have slightly shifted. A release date for the show is yet unknown.

4 'Carrie' (FX)

Let's move on to the limited series Carrie which is based on the horror movie of the same name.

The story, which is based on Steven King's book, would presumably still be close to the original, however, not many details have been revealed so far. While everyone is really excited for Carrie as a show — a release date has yet to be set.

3 'Clueless' (Peacock)

Another movie that is being turned into a show is the 90s teen classic Clueless. So far, we know that the show would center around the Dionne character who is played by Stacey Dash in the 1995 original. The show would be a comedy set in the present but no announcements have yet been made about the cast or a release date.

2 'iCarly' (Paramount Plus)

A childhood favorite that is getting a revival is the Nickelodeon hit iCarly. One thing that fans are surely thrilled about is the fact that the original cast remembers Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress are all set to reprise their characters. The iCarly revival will most likely premiere this summer the season will have 13 episodes! Here's what Miranda Cosgrove said about being back on the show:

"It feels kind of crazy. We did the first table read about a week or so ago and it was kind of insane. Like, just getting everybody back together again and it was really fun."

1 'The Rules Of Magic' (HBO Max)

And finally, wrapping the list up is The Rules Of Magic — the prequel television show to the 1998 Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman movie Practical Magic. The prequel novel The Rules of Magic which the show will mostly be based on takes place in 1960s NYC. So far a release date has yet to be announced.
