'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' is back again, and it looks like season two's got twice the drama.
A LOT has happened since the show's explosive first season aired. Mary Cosby made headlines for rumors that she's in (what People Magazine called) a religious cult. Meredith Marks' son Brooks turned heads with his between-seasons glow up. Nothing compares to what Jen Shah was in the news for, though. Girl had a rough summer!
From getting arrested to defending herself online, Jen's left viewers on the edge of their seats as we all wait to see what she'll reveal about her controversial situation in the season premiere.
Now the first trailer is out, and fans can already tell the editors aren't gonna go easy on Jen. Read on to learn about the petty little clue fans noticed in a clip of Jen fighting with Meredith.
It's a Jail Door Sound
Hear it? As shared on Twitter by user 'aldous sassparil,' the 'RHOSLC' first look trailer includes the heavy clink of a jail cell door when Meredith Marks shuts her own front door on Jen Shah.
The two women are having a massive argument because Jen believes Meredith may have incited the fraud investigation currently happening to her. The full clip features Jen crying as she says "I swear to God, if you have anything to do with the b******t charges against me, Meredith, you’re f*****g disgusting...you're f*****g fraudulent."
After Meredith responds with "Who’s calling who a fraud? Love you, baby, bye," she slams the heavy wooden door. Doesn't sound like wood in the trailer, though!
Even the Editors Are Coming for Jen Shah
You can hear the sound in context at about 2:25 into the official first look video posted here. According to fans on Twitter, it's a completely intentional way to remind viewers of where Jen might be headed.
"They aint slick lmao," responded one fan. Others agreed and said they're excited for more drama- both from the editors and the actual cast members.
"Meredith and Brooks are about to take Jen down," reads one fan's prediction. "I can't wait!"
Fans Think It's Hilarious
Most of the hundreds of responses to hearing the sound effect on Twitter are variations on "I didn’t even pick it up at first," and "OMG I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT," - and every one of them seems to think it's some LOL-worthy editing.
"This is more iconic than I could have dreamed," Tweets one fan.
"This looks good," wrote another. "Andy knew a thing or two when he added Potomac and Salt Lake."
Speaking of Potomac, some of the most popular takes on Jen's sound effect involve throwing it back to one memorable 'RHOP' moment.
