For fans who stan #Gallavich, it was probably disappointing to learn that Ian and Mickey aren't really a thing in real life. But that doesn't mean the actors who portray them, Cameron Monaghan and Noel Fisher, aren't really friends when the cameras stop rolling.

Just like other close-knit casts, Cameron and Noel do spend time together when they're not filming. It might not be the dream wedding sequence fans loved so much, but Cameron and Noel's friendship has sustained over the years.

In fact, the two actors agreed to return to 'Shameless' after their respective hiatuses mainly to continue their characters' relationship, says CheatSheet. Diving deeper into Ian and Mickey's relationship in "a somewhat stable environment" was a must, said Cameron, so he was happy to head back for season ten.

And while fans do wonder what the cast really thinks of the show, they're also curious about the cast's relationships off-screen. How do Noel and Cameron get along when the cameras stop rolling?

Well, both of them have their own lives, of course, and Noel is married (and has been since 2017). Cameron previously dated Peyton List but is apparently single these days.

But between takes on the show, the guys enjoy goofing around together, taking selfies, and posing for social media pics. And a while back, they even gave an interview about their off-screen relationship.

When asked about the intimate nature of the show's opening scenes, Noel explained that all the intimate scenes " are kind of odd, but it makes it a lot easier being buddies with Cam."

Cameron added, "And, hey, it's our job..." He also elaborated that despite how awkward it is knowing that viewers (and their families) are watching the scenes, he and Noel hassle each other enough about it that "what we say to each other is a lot worse than anything anyone can ever say to us."

Clearly, the guys are close, because it takes a true bromance to make two non-gay people appear the opposite on screen. Fans fall all over themselves to tell the guys how adorable they are together, including by stalking Noel and Cameron on Instagram, and so many of them don't seem to realize that the guys are just friends in real life.

As far as what the cast is up to now, Noel Fisher has taken some interesting turns in his career, but it's clear he's got his on-screen hubby's support. He definitely has Cameron's endorsement of his acting chops, and the two will always have their fake romance to remember, even after 'Shameless' stops airing.
