7 The Treatment Saved Her Life, But Stunted Her Growth

The life-saving treatment that Shauna Rae underwent led to a serious and very undesirable side effect that nobody had been able to predict or brace themselves for. During her treatment, Shauna's pituitary gland was damaged, and it stopped functioning normally, leading to her inability to continue to grow. When her pituitary gland went dormant, her entire growth process was stunted, and there was nothing that anyone could do.
