Shemar Moore is a name that needs no introduction, the former Criminal Minds star is well known for his famous roles and good looks. The 50-year-old actor is currently single. He has never been married before but is not opposed to settling down. He has openly spoken about wanting to be a father and wanting a woman to spend his life with. He hasn't been married before because he reportedly finds it hard to balance his work hectic schedule with his love life. And he probably hasn't just met the woman that ticks all his boxes yet.

Despite being linked to some of Hollywood's leading ladies in the past, Shemar's sexuality has been questioned several times. He often remains single for long periods of time and was also known to attend red carpets with his mother prior to her passing away. The former Criminal Minds star did address the rumors and speculation surrounding his sexuality and stated that he is not gay.

Shemar May Be Single Now... But He Isn't Opposed To Marriage And Kids

Talented and easy on the eyes - Shemar Moore is by far among Hollywood's most eligible heartthrobs. He has been linked to several famous women but he is reportedly single at present. The 50-year-old actor has never been married before but is not opposed to the idea of settling down with a wife and kids someday. He has never been married before because he probably hasn't met the "one" just yet and then, of course, he has a busy schedule.

"I need balance in my life. I love what I do for a living, I love it from ‘action’ to ‘cut’, but I also want to walk my dogs, travel, get married, have kids. Back in 2016, the star told TVLine, "I want balance, and it’s hard to do with the schedule that we have."

The actor reportedly maintains his single status for long periods. Shemar was also known to often bring a special woman to the red carpet. His late mother was often his date and critics had something to say about that.

His Sexuality Has Been Questioned

The veteran actor's sexuality has been questioned for years. Gay rumors started a while back when he was pictured in what appeared to be a gay bar. Shemar has refuted the claims of his sexual orientation and set the record straight on several occasions. Simply put, he is not gay.

HuffPost reported that the Criminal Minds star told BET in an interview, "I just think it’s all silly. If you’re gay, you’re gay. I’m not, and I know that and I’m very comfortable with who I am and I love women."

"I’ve dated plenty of them. If you think I’m gay, send your girlfriend over to my house for the weekend and see what happens. For real. You can call that arrogant if you want to. I just call it confident. You can call me whatever you want, but you don’t know me."

It's no doubt that Shemar has fans of all sexual orientations and is clearly more than happy to take pictures with his adoring fans. The star has no time for "simpleminded ignorance" and called out the critics.

"I have fans that are gay, men that come up to me, and they’re inspired by me, or they like me as an entertainer, and when they want to give me a hug or take pictures with me, what, am I supposed to not put my arm around them or stand next to them, and if the man next to me in the picture is gay, that makes me gay? That’s just simpleminded ignorance, and I don’t play that."
