Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's first biological child, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is all grown up now. Recently, news broke that the 16-year-old is preparing to go to a distant college to stay "far away" from her mother. It left fans confused as the two were just seen together at the rock band Måneskin's concert in Rome back in July 2022.

But as her estranged parents continue to battle it out in court, fans can't help but assume that the teen may actually be avoiding The Eternals star. Here's what's really going on with Jolie-Pitt's life these days.

Inside Shiloh Jolie-Pitt's Early Struggles With Gender Identity

Growing up, Jolie-Pitt was photographed wearing boys' clothes and sporting a short haircut. Back then, her parents explained that she identified as "one of the boys" and that she wanted to live "like a little dude." In 2008, her dad admitted to Oprah Winfrey that she also wanted to replace her name with a male one.

"She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it's a Peter Pan thing. So we've got to call her John. 'Shi, do you want …' – 'John. I’m John,'" shared the Bullet Train actor. "And then I'll say, 'John, would you like some orange juice?' And she goes, 'No!' So, you know, it's just that kind of stuff that’s cute to parents, and it’s probably really obnoxious to other people."

Two years later, Jolie also talked to Vanity Fair about her daughter's boyish looks. "Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style. It's how people dress there," said the Girl, Interrupted star. "She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers." But recently, Jolie-Pitt has been spotted wearing more feminine clothes. In October 2021, she wore her mom's vintage dress during a red carpet event for the actress' first Marvel film, The Eternals.

Shiloh-Jolie Pitt Recently Went Viral After Showing Off Her Dance Moves

She may not be following in her parents' footsteps as an actor (yet), but recently, Jolie-Pitt went trending over video clips from her dance class filmed at the famed Millennium Dance Complex.

Her video dancing to Doja Cat's Vegas — a soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann's biopic, Elvis starring Austin Butler — has now garnered millions of views. Based on choreographer, Hamilton Evans' YouTube channel, Jolie-Pitt has also danced to Rihanna's Skin, Ed Sheeran's Shivers, and Usher's Yeah. A source told Us Weekly that Jolie and Pitt are pleased to see their daughter getting a lot of attention for her talent.

"Brad and Angie are both very proud," said the insider. "They'd have no issue if she wants to turn pro, but they're not pushing it on her by any means."

The anonymous source added that Jolie-Pitt has been taking dance lessons for a while now. "Shiloh loves dancing. She's seriously talented and has been going to these classes for a few years now," they continued. "She's made some good friends through the dancing community too, and they're all in chat groups and share their favorite playlists and that type of stuff. The teachers are all very impressed with her and say the sky’s the limit if she wants to take it to the next level, and Shiloh may just do that."

Did Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Choose A Distant College To Avoid Angelina Jolie?

According to a Celebrity Insider, a source claimed that Jolie-Pitt purposely picked a distant college to stay "far away" from her mom as they've recently been having conflicts in their relationship. The young dancer reportedly "slams doors all over the house" and gets into verbal duels with the Salt actress because she's not treated fairly at home.

"Maddox and Pax (her older brothers) were allowed to drive and walk alone when they were her age. Shiloh is resisting," said the unnamed insider. "She says she's going to go to college as far away from her as possible!"

In July 2022, a source told Life & Style that Jolie-Pitt and her dad remain an "unbreakable" duo amid his long-running divorce and custody battle with Jolie.

"Despite the ongoing custody battle between Brad and Angelina, he does spend time with the kids, but in a private setting," said the insider. "He prefers it that way and is particularly close to Shiloh." They added that the two "have a loving, fun and authentic relationship and are cut from the same cloth."

They reportedly share a lot of interests such as music. "Playing music together, watching movies and art, and spend a lot of their time together in his art studio being creative," shared the source, who noted that "Brad never puts pressure on Shiloh and encourages to pursue her dreams. She feels comfortable talking to her dad about anything." Meanwhile, Jolie is yet to address the claims that she has a strained relationship with her firstborn.
