Simon Cowell is known for being the producer on a lot of reality competition shows and has even stepped in as judges on some of them, like America's Got Talent and The X-Factor UK. He is currently producing a new competition show, Walk The Line. Cowell is most known for jumpstarting the careers of One Direction, Susan Boyle, Bianca Ryan and many more, under his entertainment/management company, SYCO. The entrepreneur has been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world twice, received awards and many titles.

This new show will only create more superstars under Cowell until he creates yet another talent/competition show. The show premiered on Sunday, December 12 and left many people torn on if they liked it or not. Here's what we know about Simon Cowell's newest talent show, Walk the Line, and how you can watch it.

8 The Premise Of 'Walk The Line'

Walk The Line is a singing show that isn't interested in giving any of its contestants a career. Outlets and fans are comparing it to the X-Factor but not as good. Each episode five singers take on a song and by the end four of them are sent home. The fifth one, or the winner of that round, is offered 10,000 Euros. If they take the money, they are out of the competition. If they don't, they come back and compete the following night in the hopes of winning 500,000 Euros. The acts can be soloists, duos or bands.

7 Who's Judging 'Walk The Line'

The show is hosted by Maya Jama, presenter of Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star. Gary Barlow (lead singer of the British group Take That), Alesha Dixon (singer, dancer, television personality, author), Dawn French (sketch show, French and Saunders) and Craig David (singer, DJ and record producer) are all judges on the show. They, along with a studio audience, decide each night who the winner will be.

6 Who's On Simon Cowell's New Talent Competition Show?

The contestants are singers no one has heard before. Not much is known about them, but the winner of episode one was Ella Rothwell. She opted to sing for more money. She moved on to compete against girl group Ida Girls, a one-man band Youngr, Carly Burns and Darby. Rothwell has won all three episodes and has decided to stay on until the end, if she continues winning.

On the next episode she went up against Lisa Marie Holmes, Raynes, Abz Winter and Daniel Arieleno. She still beat out everyone. The following night Rothwell competed against Nadia Adu-Gyamfi, Anthony Stuart Lloyd, ADMT, and the band Deco.

It will be interesting to see who makes it all the way to the end. On what Rothwell would do with the money, "I'd buy a house boat," she said on the show.

2 Simon Cowell's History With Singing Shows

Cowell has produced and been a judge on numerous singing competition shows. His first noteworthy judging role was on American Idol from 2002 to 2010. He was known for his bluntness. During that time is when he developed SYCO in 2005, signing many of the artists from that show to his record label.

Some fans think this type of show is a little over done and shouldn't be on the air anymore. "This type of 'talent' show had its day a over a decade ago.. Just bury it already," said one Twitter user.
