Snoop Dogg is one-of-a-kind and a complete entertainer. Hailing from Long Beach, California, Snoop has cemented himself as one of the legends in hip-hop. After signing to Suge Knight's Death Row imprint under Dr. Dre's guidance, Snoop became a superstar in the West Coast hip-hop scene. His debut album, Doggystyle, consisted of all-time classics like "Gin & Juice" and "What's My Name?." After departing Death Row, he ventured into Master P's No Limit Records, and the rest is history.

However, in addition to his impressive resume in hip-hop, Snoop Dogg has also landed some of the craziest and most bizarre gigs and collaborations in the past few years. Despite the "gangsta" persona he preaches through his music, Snoop is actually a laidback and chill kind of person to hang out with; hence he has so many "unpredictable" Hollywood friends. From his unorthodox bond with Martha Stewart to his short-lived career in gospel music, here are some of the most unconventional things Snoop Dogg has done throughout his career.

9 Cooked With Martha Stewart

Hollywood is no stranger to wholesome-yet-unusual friendships, including Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg's. The two met for the first time in November 2008 when the rap star stopped for a segment on the business mogul's The Martha Stewart Show, mashing potatoes and fooling around about it together. Years may have passed, but their friendship is still as tight-knit as it was.

8 Formed A Football League

An avid fan of American football, Snoop Dogg formed "Snoop Youth Football League" back in 2005. Thirteen-hundred Los Angeles kids from all different walks of life have joined the league during its inaugural season. With a total of 50 teams, Snoop Youth Football League afterschool program is the largest of its kind in Southern California. His coaching experience is also the center of Netflix's 2018 documentary Coach Snoop.

7 Devoted To The Rastafari Movement

A trip to Jamaica in 2012 inspired Snoop to join the Rastafari religion. He even embraced a new alias and called himself 'Snoop Lion.' Furthermore, he went to release a reggae album, Reincarnated, and a docu-film of the same name.

"Snoop Lion, Snoop Dogg, DJ Snoopadelic—they only know one thing: make music that's timeless and bangs," he said during an interview with Fader about his plethora of monikers.

6 Made A Gospel Album

Years later, Snoop Dogg ventured into Gospel music. In 2018, he tapped Lonny Bereal, Faith Evans, Tye Tribbett, and more for his debut gospel album Bible of Love. According to the rapper, it was his grandmother Dorothy who introduced young Snoop to gospel music.

"As the country is in one of its heaviest times and is so divided, I wanted to make an album that spreads love and unity around the world. That's what I was taught, so that's all I know," he said.

5 Ventured Into Bollywood Music

In 2008, Snoop was featured in an Indian Bollywood film titled Singh Is Kinng. In addition to his cameo credit, the rap star also made his first foray into singing and rapping on a Bollywood song for the film's soundtrack of the same name. In the same year, he also released his ninth album, Ego Trippin', and debuted on the top 5 of the Billboard 200, clocking around 137,000 first-week sales.

4 Joined The Wrestling World

This is going to sound crazy, but Snoop Dogg has been involved in some wrestling matches where he partook in a well-earned appearance. Just earlier this year, he made a cameo in All Elite Wrestling's event "New Year's Smash" and performed an aerial maneuver on Serpentico.

That said, this isn't the first time the rap star made his mark in the wrestling world. Back in 2008, Snoop, who is also a cousin of wrestler Sasha Banks, accompanied his cousin to the ring at WrestleMania 32. Later in 2016, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

3 Collaborated With Big Time Rush

In 2011, boyband Big Time Rush tapped Snoop Dogg for "Boyfriend" to add some hip-hop flavor to the band's most well-renowned hit. In fact, the rap star also had a cameo on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush series during a holiday special a year before alongside Miranda Cosgrove.

"We were very excited when we found out that Snoop Dogg wanted to do the show. He told us that his daughter was a big fan and that once he knew that, it was a done deal," Carlos PenaVega, one of the band members, told EW.

2 Narrated A Nature Program

In 2016, Snoop Dogg debuted his "Planet Earth"-esque nature series titled Planet Snoop. He later launched his very first video, "Squirrel vs. Snake," where he gave a wild commentary on the wildlife battle between the two creatures. That also wasn't the first time Snoop has worked on a nature series. Earlier, he tapped Jimmy Kimmel for a Planet Earth parody titled Plizzanet Earth, giving his wildest commentary on nature and wildlife throughout the course of the show.

1 Recent Television Roles

By now, Snoop Dogg is basically a professional at making silly cameo roles within popular pop culture. He had a small spot as himself in Pitch Perfect 2 and in an episode of Modern Family. Recently, Snoop Dogg promoted and guest starred in an episode of Instagram's fun children's show, Hip Hop Harry.

However, no one could have expected him to become one of the greatest highlights from the 2021 Summer Olympics. His commentary with Kevin Hart had the whole world cracking up laughing.
