Snoop Dogg's career now shines under the lights of Hollywood, in spite of the fact that he has come from a very shady, dark past. He's no stranger to the street life, and has been in and out of jail a number of times. While his fans are aware of his roots, they seem far removed from his current lifestyle.

Until now.

Snoop Dogg's recent post publicly welcomes rapper Bobby Shmurda back from jail, amid the controversy that continues to swirl surrounding the charges laid against him, and his subsequent release. Fans seem equally excited about Bobby's return and are eager to see if he'll make a musical comeback.

Reinforcing the fact that gangs, crime, drug charges and the street life are 'just part of the game,' Bobby Shmurda has returned to a huge fan following and one of the most influential supporters a rapper could ever dream of.

Snoop Dogg Welcomes Back Bobby Shmurda

Shmurda was doing time for various drug and gang convictions, and was sentenced to 7 years in prison. His good behavior and some fancy legal motions have ensured he spent no more than 4 years behind bars. Best known for his song Hotboy which was riddled with lyrics about gangs and guns, as well as for his hit music video that introduced the world to his 'Shmoney Dance,' Shmurda was a YouTube sensation and was making a huge impact on the music scene just prior to his arrest.

Now that he's back, it appears he's likely to pick up where he left off without much delay, thanks largely in part to Snoop Dogg.

Snoop's post was a powerful one. His welcome home message was so sweet that many people had to do a double take to figure out what was going on. Based on the loving messaging, Snoop Dogg seemed to be welcoming someone back from a vacation or from a few years away at college, but that's not the case at all.  Shmurda and a slew of his affiliates were said to be tied to a variety of crimes including murder, some attempted murder charges, gang affiliations, drug dealing, and assault.

A Budding Career, Backed By Snoop Dogg

This isn't the first time Snoop Dogg supports an ex-con, and this is nothing but street cred to Snoop. He posted a collage of Bobby's images as a tribute to the young star, and captioned his Instagram post by saying; "Welcome bac. Home. Nefew. @realbobbyshmurdags9"

Leveraging his influence and throwing his clout and support behind this up & coming rapper, Snoop Dogg references Bobby Shmurda as 'family' and makes it clear that his career is about to pop.

Considered one of the OG's of the rap world, Snoop Dogg is among the most powerful players in the industry, and with this kind of backing, Shmurda's future in music sales is looking pretty bright.
