Snoop Dogg has been on the rap scene since 1992 and is considered by many to be the OG in every sense of the word. He has a very defined sound that his fans have come to know and love, and his songs carry a certain familiar vibe that we've all come to expect from his music.

The song is called Emoji Kiss and everything about it is different from what fans would have ever predicted, right down to the length of the clip.

You'll have to give it a listen to see what we mean, and believe us when we say, it's really different from his original sounds.

Snoop's New Vibe

Snoop Dogg has teamed up with October London to release new music and fans are ready to give it a listen! The video is immediately different in the visual sense. Snoop's work is typically dark, and full of shadows, while this is based on bright colors and sunny days. It portrays a multicultural cast, and puts the focus on current-day trends in the digital world.

The premise of the song is about using pop culture in relationships, as the team sings about kissing with emojis, the meaning of emoji culture, and having an app-based relationship with the object of someone's affection.

The tune is happy, upbeat, and the pitch of the song is high. The lack of base is instantly evident, and there are hints of resemblance to the likes of Adam Levine and Maroon 5 when it comes to the hitting the highs and melting them into pop-sounding tunes.

Fans were excited but seemed genuinely confused. Many wrote notes such as; "Who's running this account," and "Snoop, is this real?"

The Collaboration

This is one of many collaborations between Snoop Dogg and October London, so fans can go to the Instagram account of either artist and be treated to some sample sounds.

That's actually part of what is so unique about this teaser; it plays out like a full song. Most teaser clips are very short and only give fans a sense of the song's hook. In this instance, the video teaser that has gone up on Snoop Dogg's account is quite long, and doesn't leave fans with much to discover. It's practically all there for people to lap up right now!

Taking an entirely different spin, October London has posted a behind the scenes sneak peek of what it was like to be in the studio, collaborating with the legendary Snoop Dogg. The vibe is darker, the studio is intimate, and they introduce more authentic tunes that are closer to Snoop's roots.

We can't wait to find out what they do next...
