Most dogs may be pretty smart when compared to other animals, but try explaining to a pup why a mannequin won't pet them.
An extremely large chunk of the internet is dedicated to dogs doing weird, wonderful, and downright hilarious things. By no means is this a complaint, it is far from it. We can get lost for hours watching dog video after dog video, whether its watching pups try to talk like humans to compilations of them being generally adorable.
Anyone who has Instagram and loves dogs will also know that the social media site is inundated with not only dog pictures, but dog profiles. If you don't have an Instagram account dedicated to your dog in 2018 then is he or she really your dog? Fans of Instagram pups might know Sporty of social media fame, but have you seen him trying to deal with his latest conundrum?
A video of Sporty has gone viral, that you can check out above courtesy of UNILAD's Facebook page, where the poor pupper can't get his head around why a certain someone in a clothing store won't pet him. Clearly, with Sporty being as handsome as he is and having the long, flowing, golden fur that he is fortunate enough to sport, not being stroked by passersby isn't an issue he often has.
Well, that problem is going to occur if you insist on a mannequin making a fuss over you. Sporty approaches the inanimate object, tail wagging and lead in mouth, expectantly hoping to be greeted by who he hopes will be his newest friend. When the mannequin doesn't show Sporty any attention at all, the pup shoots a confused look back at his owner but continues to try and get the attention he desires.
This isn't the first time Sporty has attracted the love and attention of the internet. Not only does he have over 50,000 followers on Instagram, but he has also previously demonstrated the ability to walk himself. He holds his lead in his mouth and even stops at roads until they are clear and safe to cross. All in all, Sporty is pretty smart, so hopefully, he won't go looking for the attention of mannequins again any time soon.
