Fans believe this actor is perfect for the role!

The actor portrayed Cara Dune on the series, a former Rebel Alliance soldier who goes on to become one of Din Djarin's (Pedro Pascal) most trusted friends.

Fans of The Mandalorian have been voicing concerns over Gina Carano's association with Disney for months now, and the studio has finally made their decision.

Why Gina Carano Was Fired By Disney

The actor has been facing negative backlash from fans ever since she insinuated mocking of the BLM movement last year, by liking racist tweets. Carano's actions also sparked outrage within the Transgender community, after she added "boop/bob/beep" in her Twitter bio instead of real pronouns.

Recently, she came under fire for sharing a post (which has since, been deleted) to Instagram which compared the modern-day Republican to being Jewish during the World War II Holocaust.

She was finally fired by Disney for her abhorrent posts and tweets, and a Lucasfilm representative made the announcement in a report shared by The Hollywood Reporter.

Now that Carano is definitely fired, fans have been worrying about what will happen to her character on The Mandalorian season 3, which returns in 2022. Star Wars fans are calling out for the studio to recast her character, since Cara Dune is crucial to Mando's story.

Fans Believe These Actors Are Perfect For The Role Of Cara Dune

Ever since the news broke out on Twitter, fans have been championing the idea of recasting Cara Dune in the series.

"If Wanda can recast Pietro I think the Mandalorian can recast Cara," wrote @Geeky_Waffle.

Another fan suggested an alternative to being upset with Disney +, and suggested recasting New Zealand actor Lucy Lawless in the role, who rose to fame for her titular role, in Xena: Warrior Princess.

@PatrickADougall had another suggestion: "Lane Parilla for Cara Dune! Nobody will even notice."

Only time will tell whether Disney will consider recasting the character, since they rarely ever do so. In December last year, Marvel Studios decided against recasting Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, to honor his legacy.

Gina Carano on the other hand was fired, so it might be fitting to explore Cara Dune's character story with another actor paving the way for it. Here's to hoping Disney does right by Star Wars fans!
