The Bad At Love singer is a super fan of the Los Angeles team, and she recently inaugurated a dedicated Twitter account @halseyandone where she tweets all things NBA and Lakers.

The name of her second account was exactly what was printed on the back of a special NBA jersey the team sent her for her birthday.

Halsey Received A Customized Lakers Jersey

Halsey posted a picture of the jersey to her Instagram stories, thanking both the team and their president, Jeanie Buss.

The singer-songwriter has become a lucky charm for the team ever since starting the new account. She also tweeted in support of her beloved Lakers and other NBA teams when they deserted playoff games in solidarity with the Black community following the shooting of Jacob Blake earlier this summer.

She called on the sponsors who claim to be allies of the Black community to take a stance against systemic racism.

The singer also said that, while staging walkouts might not seem immediately correlated to taking action, it’s an “important statement” nonetheless.
