Taylor Kitsch isn't one of the flashiest celebrities in the film industry, but he sure has plenty of credits to his name. Plus, he's worth a reported $12 million.

To be fair, Kitsch has worked hard to earn his net worth. He's been in countless TV shows and films, and the 39-year-old star even had a role in the ill-fated 'Snakes on a Plane.'

Kitsch also had his long-running role on 'Friday Night Lights,' which was his first real claim to fame. But he even got a chance to work alongside the late Chadwick Boseman, though it wasn't Boseman's final film before his passing.

But is all that worth $12 mil?

Apparently, it is. The Richest says that Kitsch is worth around $12 million, while other sources say his net hovers around $10M.

Of course, that's also factoring in Kitsch's true big break: 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' Taylor played Gambit, who quickly became a fan favorite. But the actor got his start in the entertainment industry long before that; he started out as a model at age 21, notes The Richest.

Kitsch also earned credentials as a nutritionist and personal trainer, so he may have had a "real job" before he began acting and modeling. In fact, he originally thought he had a shot at becoming a pro hockey player; Taylor played for the British Columbia Hockey League before an injury sidelined him. No word on how much that gig earned him, if anything.

At some point, though, Taylor ran out of cash and even became homeless, says Celebrity Net Worth. The star has said that he slept in train stations in New York while homeless, and wound up moving to LA to try and find modeling work.

Now, The Cinemaholic claims, he's also one of the highest-paid actors in the world. In fact, 'X-Men' was Taylor's highest-grossing film, and he clearly earned a big cut of the $373.1 million earnings. Not every film has been so successful, though; 'John Carter' turned out to be a box office flop, confirms Celebrity Net Worth, but perhaps not one of the most expensive ever produced.

As he worked his way up, Taylor also made geographical moves that correlated with his increased earnings. First, he purchased a one-bedroom condo in Texas for $275K. Five years later, he paid over a million dollars for acreage near Austin, and that property features prime views and waterfront access, though no house was on the land at the time.

After that, Kitch bought an LA condo with a marina view for around $700K, though he reportedly began working on building a home on his vacant land in Austin around the same time.

Clearly, Kitch is busy spending those millions he's earned, but TBH it's well-deserved.
