7 Taylor Swift's Mother, Andrea

Andrea Gardner (Finlay) Swift was born on January 10, 1958, in Pennsylvania. She was a mutual fund marketing executive, who eventually became a homemaker. Andrea, hailed "Momma Swift" by fans, has always been a part of Taylor's career. So much so that the singer has written the songs "The Best Day (Taylor's Version)," "I'm Only Me When I'm With You" and "Soon You'll Get Better" about her mom. Andrea is usually the one who picks fans out of the crowd at concerts to go and meet Taylor.

6 Andrea Swift's Cancer Battle

During a January 2020 interview with Variety, Taylor Swift revealed that sadly, not only was her mother's cancer back, but now Andrea was also battling a brain tumor. "While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor," she expressed, according to Variety. "And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family." Swift put a lot of things on the back burner because of her mother's diagnosis and only scheduled a few dates for LoverFest, which was ultimately canceled by the Coronavirus pandemic.

5 Taylor Swift's Father, Scott

Scott Swift may be that guy you see at Taylor's shows handing out guitar picks and taking pictures with fans, but to Taylor he's her father. He was born on March 5, 1952, in Bryn Mawr, PA. He has two brothers and became a stockbroker like his father and grandfather. Scott graduated from the University of Delaware in 1974.

4 Taylor Swift's Brother, Austin

Austin Kingsley Swift is Taylor's younger brother and only sibling. He was born on March 11, 1992, in West Reading, PA. Austin studied and graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 2015, where he studied film. He and Taylor seem to have a close relationship, and he was featured in home videos in some of Taylor's music videos. His relationship status is unknown.

3 Austin Swift's Career

Taylor Swift isn't the only one in the entertainment business in their family. Austin Swift's film degree has paid off because he has starred in plays, such as Dead Man's Cell Phone and Six Characters in Search of An Author. Austin's debut film career started in 2016 in the thriller I.T. He also appeared in Live By Night, Still The King, Embeds, Cover Versions, Breaking for Whales, and We Summon the Darkness. Austin has also released a cover of his sister's song, "Look What You Made Me Do" under the name Jack Leopards & The Dolphin Club. Austin, most recently, was a producer on Taylor Swift's music video "I Bet You Think About Me."

2 Taylor Swift's Grandmother, Marjorie

Marjorie Moehlenkamp Finlay was an American opera singer and television personality, and she was also Taylor Swift's maternal grandmother. Marjorie passed away in 2003. Swift wrote a song honoring her late grandmother on her ninth studio album, evermore. The song title "Marjorie" recounts memories she had with her grandmother, the advice she gave her and not getting enough time with her. The song features backing vocals from the opera singer.

1 Taylor Swift's Grandfather, Archie Dean

Archie Dean Swift was Taylor's paternal grandfather. Her joined the marine corps in 1938 and fought in World War II, which inspired her song, "epiphany," off her album, folklore. He died in 1998. About her grandfather, Swift told Entertainment Weekly in 2020, "I wanted to write about him for a while. He died when I was very young, but my dad would always tell this story that the only thing that his dad would ever say about the war was when somebody would ask him, 'Why do you have such a positive outlook on life?' My grandfather would reply, 'Well, I'm not supposed to be here. I shouldn't be here.'"
